Some interesting news on the SW front:
LucasFilm's VP, Michelle Rejwan, has left the company. This is is a surprising shakeup in leadership, arguably the biggest internally since Kiri Hart's departure as head of the Story Group, since Rejwan was not only the head of Live Action Development & Production at the company, but also the next person in line to succeed Kathleen Kennedy if she were to ever depart/retire...leaving the successor seat open.
Now, get ready for the usual gaggle of neanderthals like Doomcock to start speculating that "FILONI AND FAVREAU ARE TOTALLY GOING TO FILL THAT SEAT, THIS PROVES THE CIVIL WAR!!!!!!1!" But those of us who don't eat glue and huff copium know that the only person who's going to fill this seat is someone with a background on an
executive level, not a creative one. So I fully expect that to happen, and given how the rest of Disney is handing leadership positions to absolute retards in order to cut costs and prioritize penny-pinching, courtesy of CEO Bob
Paycheck Chapek, no one should expect any promising new leadership to save this ailing franchise.
Given how the average SW fan polluting the fandom comprises of your atypical Funko-huffing autistic manchild, it shouldn't come as a remote surprise how many of them slobber of Filoni's tired formula of vapid fanservice, galaxy-shrinking cameos, and rampant mythology rape.
Half of these greasy neckbeards probably fantasize about tonguing Ahsoka's underage butthole.
Fifth take: the stories in the Expanded Universe are quality and better than anything the Mouse makes, so it's the only timeline that matters.
