Yeah and? Acting a fool isn't a valid defense and never was. I feel dumb for things I said only 3 months ago. I'm tired of pretending like late teens and young adults are somehow less accountable for their actions. They have perfectly functional higher reasoning and ability to consider future consequences.

We all understand that Rooster Teeth is a completely shit company and the people who enable it to continue this way are equally as shit, but just like the Ryan situation, they are not the only place where the blame goes. News flash, I was a young 20 year old once, and I never let any boss walk over me. I do not feel bad for the people RT fucked over, because these people largely fucked themselves over.

I will say, this is a great example of why your company will never be your friend. Your boss might be a great guy, your coworkers might be cool, you might literally get to play video games all day, but always remember: The Company isn't a person. The Company is an entity that doesn't care about you, and wants to pay you the least for the most amount of work. It doesn't matter how much you like your boss, do not let The Company pay you shit and work you unpaid. With all the discussion about trans/race/whatever controversies RT is going through, I hope this is what people learn the most. The Company has way more power than you - know your rights and don't let yourself be treated like shit.

If I could replace some of the absolutely awful suits I work with right this instant, I would replace them with people like you.
