Well, I'm MATI. Imagine the things you could do with 5000 dollars. That's a life changing amount of money for some poorfags (I've been there too). the chances of breaking a bone doing something mundane are much higher for an obese person.
Everyone falls at the same velocity, but fatties have more mass and thus land with more force. Fat doesn’t really cushion the impact unless they land on their ass or gut. They have poor mobility, which makes it difficult to break the fall, so more awkward landings too. Broken wrists and ankles are quite common for ambulatory fatties.

Right, but a femur?! It's blowing my mind that a human being in her 30s without a preexisting condition affecting her bones could break a fucking femur by falling from standing. Usually younger people don't break femurs unless they're in a horrific car accident or fall from a great height or something.

On an intellectual level, I at least sort of understand that that much mass means a shitton of force with relatively little acceleration, but my god! Unless you're an octogenarian with bones like spun glass, a femur fracture from tripping and falling should not be on your radar.

Regarding Jordan, I have a question.

...what the FUCK? She can't be much older than 30, right? It's really horrible that nobody in her life loves her enough to sit down with her and say, "I love you and you are important in my life. This is hard for me to say, but I'm scared and sad watching you destroy yourself with food. You can't even walk anymore." I guess it's possible someone has tried but she shut it down right out of the gate. It's interesting to compare her level of (im)mobility with that of Anna O'Brien or even Chantal. Weight distribution becomes unique at the far right of the curve, of course, but she appears to be younger than they are and weigh less than they do, but she's barely able to walk. She's short, but so is Chantal. Jordan has the mobility of an Ash Nischuk at a much lower weight. I don't understand how anyone can be delusional enough to think, "yeah, this is fine, I'm doing okay" as they heave themselves around like that. She has to remember that she could move more easily when she weighed less, right? Does she just write it off as a coincidence?

People will believe even the most absurd of lies if they are emotionally invested in them. The emotional validation (*gag*) she gets from believing all of the lies about FA outweighs the physical pain of a broken femur, because the lie tells her that the broken femur is not her fault and she is a victim of the evil anti-fat conspiracy, and she'll get all those tearful e-hugs on social media to soothe the pain and make her feel good. Junkies go through similar logic; they take drugs so they don't feel bad about how shitty the rest of their lives are. Sugar and social media validation are potent drugs too. No one is better at deceiving you than you.

The condition does refer to fatties, but they are fatties who develop anorexia and because their starting point was "overweight", their BMI drops to "average" rather than the under-17.5 usually required for an anorexia diagnosis. The point is that they used unhealthy and/or irresponsible methods commensurate with anorexia to lose that weight, and if allowed to continue in that way will still die just like a normal anorexic.

Clicked the link and read the comic. It’s a pretty thoughtful examination of her disordered relationship with food, but it smacks of the same delusions and entitled thinking as all the HAES stuff. Lol it’s exactly how Tess thinks though, to a T:

There is sympathy to be had here, for sure, but she still makes some fatlogic/HAES-y statements in the comic that are interesting to discuss.

E.g.

This just seems like a vicious cycle where she hates herself and feels ostracized, and her resulting actions just make the other kids want to exclude her more. She blames it on her fat, but if she had a loving adult around to help her this wouldn't have gone so bad.
