Don't feel bad, no one understands half of what Elliot is talking about, not even himself. He's just using big words to sound smart. Being around so many smart programmers at a company like Google while lacking any technical skills whatsoever must be absolutely devastating to the ego. He's so weirdly obsessive, but at the same time so fucking ineffectual, you'd think if you dedicated all your time to doing one thing, to such an extent your own eyes start to rot out of your fucking skull from the stress, you'd at least be good at it.
