Call for participants for the art and oppression day of November 5, 2022!
We are looking for artists (students or not) who talk about the oppressions they suffer through their creations, for the two round tables and for the exhibition.
There are two places left for the first round table: Trans representations in the arts and media (The questions will be more focused on how to make "good" representations, not stereotyped and emancipatory, rather than on criticism of what exists, there already has a lot of resources on this. The goal is to exchange between trans and/or non-binary artists who create militant content on these subjects.)
There is still a place for the second round table: Art as a tool in the fight against oppression (Exchange between artists who experience different oppressions and not only trans or queers (racism, validism, psychophobia etc), to talk about our strategies and desires to change society and help people who are marginalized through art.)
We are also looking for artists for the exhibition which will take place the same evening at Le Mercury bar, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The idea is to exhibit small formats, comics, illustrations or even games, there are still one or two small tables (1m2) and a few m2 of walls.
We will take into account the diversity of profiles to select, the goal being to have the points of view of people living different oppressions. We will make a selection from the responses received on Saturday 29, and let you know if there are places left after that.
We apologize for the short delay in this appeal. We had organizational difficulties and the only people contacted earlier were people we were close enough to invite them to an event before we were sure it took place.
