The song itself is almost a total parody of a transwoman. It encompasses all of the 'I'm more of a real woman than you'll ever be' tropes. If you get Keffals vibes from the song, you're not wrong, there's even an 'I fucked your mom' joke in there. After singing a song entirely about how good he is and how everything is about him, he shouts "you know the best thing about live TV - you can do stupid shit like this", gets up, strips entirely naked and dances, then finishes the song on the keyboard while a closeup shows him playing the last note with his penis.

This is met with thundering applause.

The media is portraying this as 'iconic'.

I 59F am transgender (mtf) I came out when my daughter Lauren was 13. It was a really hard adjustment because it led to my ex wife Cora divorcing me. My daughter is now 29 and got engaged 9 months ago to her fiance Vince the wedding is two months away and I noticed she hadn't mentioned who would walk her down the aisle.
When I asked her she gave me a weird look and said, "you obviously." I was genuinely confused. I thought she would have one of her uncles do this since its usually a man who gives his daughter away. But I have tried to take on a more maternal role, not trying to take her mother's place but make it so that she has 2 mothers instead of one. I ask her about her relationships and take her to get our nails done and things like that, at first she had trouble taking to the idea but I thought we had moved forward. I said I would walk her down the aisle but I wanted it to be clear that I was her mother and that I wouldn't be doing the father-daughter dance portion unless it was mother.
My daughter agreed but later I asked for her opinion on a dress I was planning on wearing to the wedding and she said she had already ordered me a tuxedo. I refused immediately and said I wouldn't do that, that she wouldn't ask her mother to do that and she had no right to ask me to. I said I could be talked into a pretty pantsuit but I wouldn't wear a tux. Cora got involved and asked me to just suck it up for this one day for our daughter but I offered to be there for our daughter. She just wouldn't let me. Our families were not immediately accepting of the idea of my true identity and it feels like a step back to act as my daughter's father. I know she grew up seeing me like that and I tried to get her to go to therapy with me and Cora but she just wouldn't I'm tired of bending over backwards to be there for her when she refuses to respect me.
My family think I'm TA but I just can't see why I should have to be someone I'm not for people that are supposed to love me unconditionally.

Edit 3: Sorry I'm making so many edits but I'm realizing my post didn't explain the situation as it should've. I clarified in a comment that I see my daughter once or twice a year when she answers my texts/calls. We are not close. I know mothers and other women can walk her down the aisle but the reason she asked me is because she has always cared about appearances. I genuinely don't believe Vince's family knows I am transgender or even if Vince knows. I think she doesn't want to explain why I didn't walk her down the aisle. It's not just her seeing me as a man and a male figure to walk her down the aisle.
