Just Stop Oil activists sprayed orange paint on buildings in central London, demanding that the government halts all new oil and gas licences and consents.

The group said its supporters sprayed paint from fire extinguishers on the Home Office, the MI5 building, the Bank of England and the headquarters of News Corp at London Bridge on Monday morning.

The group said the buildings were chosen to represent the pillars that support and maintain the power of the fossil fuel economy.

Scotland Yard said protesters threw paint in a number of locations, naming Marsham Street, Millbank, London Bridge and Threadneedle Street.

“Officers responded quickly to all incidents and a number of people have now been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage,” the force tweeted.
City of London Police said two people were arrested outside the Bank of England.

• Throw out anything in your house made of or containing parts made of plastic. That means all your LEGO, all your Funkos, and of course, your phone.
• Throw out all of your clothes made of hydrocarbon-derived sources, such as polyester and synthetic fleeces/jackets.
• Throw out and refuse to consume any food made with or containing oil, or from a company that uses it. Anything mass-produced has to go.
• And yes, this means no more eating from goyslop establishments. Not even your vegan options are safe.
• Disconnect your house from gas heating
• Disconnect your house from the electricity grid
• Never go on holiday ever again, since ships and planes both use copious amounts of fuel

They can find the remains of your thawing, rotting carcass once the heat starts to come back around March/April time, and the world will be better off for it. the base version is pretty good on fuel. The main issue is that its very uninspired. an older and bigger E-class can drive on used vegetable oil, same for giant old volvos.

I also doubt they have the big engine in that estate c-class, those are super rare and i have looked into them this past year because they are super fun and my w12 is just to hungry...

If these assholes actually cared about the environment they would be organizing actually effective protests and asking for actions that would actually result in meaningful change. Many airlines fly completely empty planes, emitting a fuckton of CO², just to keep their routes. Protests in favour of regulation that would make that and other unnecessarily harmful practices obsolete would be far more clever and actually good for the cause instead of fucking vandalizing paintings and stopping traffic on bridges!

1. Just Stop Oil allows people to donate to them with cryptocurrency on their website. Because apparently being against crypto is a prerequisite to being against fossil fuels?

2. They received funding from Aileen Getty, of the wealthy oil industrialist Getty family. This could just as easily be explained as "oil heiress has daddy issues".

Because if you have a money system, and thus a market, you will inevitably have a hierarchy of the oppressed and the oppressor. Point of fact, the primary divider between a "right" and a "left" libertarian is if they believe equity/equality is of paramount importance, or if there is such a thing as a natural order (hierarchy) that we should align ourselves to.

The belief in the paramount importance of equity leads to the Anarcho-Communism belief system, which is just the iron fist of communism in a velvet glove.
