Flexing how much you make per week makes you one of the DSP enablers that give him money every day.

Ok by that same logic if you don't want to people to tell you that you have free will and can choose to do something else don't complain in the first place, by your reasoning you can never disagree. If you get paid X it's because that's you can negotiate, if no one else will hire you for a significant amount more then it's because that's around what you are worth for everyone in that market, if you don't like the fact that you are not worth more then that's not the problem of the person hiring you, if you don't like the fact that you don't have consistent income because you work on a contract basis that's not the problem of the person that needs you for a particular project.

Artists can make a lot of money or nothing just like in sports, and in sports you get paid what you can negotiate as well, making the argument that amateur boxers should get paid more because it's hard job and they get brain damage doesn't change the fact that they get paid what they do because they are not as important as the guys at the top,, no one cares about watching the fights of an amateur boxer or even a bottom of the card of a pro boxing event, like it was when the UFC used to have 2 or 3 fights at the bottom of the card on facebook, it's not unreasonable to tell them to do something else if they don't like it, why would companies pay more than what the voice actor is worth? so the voice actor feels better about himself or something? when you go the store do you overpay for things so the store owner feels better about himself and has a better life? When you hire someone to fix your shower do you pay him 1500$ like Phil because the guy may not have a consistent income? Everyone tries reduces their costs as much as they can I don't see why companies should overpay for voice actors if they don't have too, the fact that you consider that it's "important" (lol voice actors in video games are important) or that you think it's unfair is completely irrelevant.

I don’t know why you think that’s funny, everyone complains about their life at some point, nobody’s is perfect. Voice actors or other people in entertainment can be okay with their job/life while having a bad day or pointing out how certain aspects of a job can be frustrating.

If you’re going to honestly tell me you you’ve never once complained about something you’ve made a choice about in your life you’re either a liar or the most disciplined person on the planet, either way you’re a weirdo.

And it’s as important as any other piece of a puzzle, if it wasn’t important companies wouldn’t keep doing it in multiple languages

Audio is an important aspect of entertainment, how a character sounds can have a huge impact on people, it’s just as important to an adaptation of a book as how a character might look

It's funny because the reason the woman complained about not being paid enough and called for a boycott on the game, she didn't complained as in saying "wow today was rough, sometimes my jobs is too tiring" there is a difference between talking about your job with your friends and demanding a certain amount of money and calling for boycotts, it is perfectly reasonable to tell someone who doesn't like what she is being paid to do something else since no one is forcing her to be there, she is there on their own will and demanding more money plus calling for a boycott because she thinks she should be paid more than what she is worth, and you think that saying that is ridiculous.

Yes companies consider voice acting a part of their game which adds value to their product and that's why they hire people for it, the fact that they do is irrelevant regarding the money being paid for the job.

Also you ignored my point about the price of something being subjective (as opposite to X person deserves Y amount for certain work), it being a voluntary transaction (no one forces her to do it) and how everyone including you tries to minimize costs, so why should the company hiring her be any different?

no I actually didnt say that you baboon, my original post wasnt even directly in regards to Taylor specifically, I never once said she was in the right for doing the boycott.

Someone used her to undermine depression in her line of work, and I responeded that its not that far of a stretch to think actors (of any kind really) mental heath would be low or lead to depression given how competitive it is and how little financial security they have, and you just responeded with "then do something esle" apparently thinking I was automatically in support of her individual actions

If a doctor has a rough couple of months on the job and vents thier frustrations and your only response is "do something else then" you're on the same social level as DSP, peope can have rough patches or periods in a career choice and are more than allowed to voice that, the anwser immedialty being "just do something else then" is incredibly fucking stupid, and only the biggest asshole on the spectrum would say that in response to someone
