A while ago I posted a poll that had suburban white women going about R+15. Naturally I felt skeptical at the time, but here's a WSJ poll conducted Oct. 22-26 showing the same thing:

Meanwhile Nate Silver, Nate Cohn, Politico and friends have been coping hard about all the recent polls. It's got Baris fairly riled up. Whining about "partisan "outlier" polls funded by GOP" is cute but they really just need to stop when Cook Political and 538 are pointing the same direction the "outliers" are.

That's why the Dems are freaking out: once Biden is out, who do they have? No wonder Newsom (lol) is being floated for 2024.

God, yes. The lulz that'd ensue would make 2020 and 2016 look like a picturesque springtime picnic. Bring it the fuck on.

:optimistic:

You forgot the three weeks to count all those mail in ballots that manifest at 2am.
Yeah, but I am looking forward to seeing what the actual election results are on election night. It's valuable information to know how many certified retards I share this country with who've fallen for this bullshit before they stuff the ballot box.

Horrifyingly, he was still probably the Dems' best choice if you take into account Gabbard's adherence to that weird cult.

Newsom? Jesus, they are desperate for people.

I'm surprised they haven't had a good shakeup like the Republicans as of yet. Maybe Biden would be like Bush Jr. and kill NeoLiberalism in the Democratic Party like Bush Jr. and company did with NeoConservatism.

It's pretty clear to anyone outside of the Democrats that they are indeed fucked this midterm, unless they commit to Election Chicanery.

"Vote for Dems or the Republicans will bring back white supremacy!"

"If I let my boss call me a nigger twice a day, can I have back the 1990's?"

I think that this is long term, long lasting damage to the Democrats and they don't know how bad yet.

Turns out relying entirely on placating and rewarding a single voting bloc that doesn't expand and gets more and more crazy might not be a viable strategy.

In order to do a shake up, you need people from the middle ranks of the party who can step up. Shake-ups also tend to put more ideologically committed candidates in position. The problem is there is a significant dearth of even mildly pragmatic candidates in that demographic group.

A lot of the MAGA candidates were already politically involved deeply in party politics, they just needed an ideologically congruous wave to take them to the top.

I think Roberts is just trying to kick the can until the new congress stops it more than anything, because this is the shit the democrats have been doing since 2019 in trying to make the walls close in.
I never got this "Trump tax returns" thing. I mean aren't someone's taxes supposed to be their own business and no one else's?

Military veterans have an innate understanding of authority and credibility so these things are obvious to you.

Meanwhile the college educated soy golems have no idea how political power actually works.
