What really strikes me about Flynt is the things he chooses to lie about.
Why make up a completely fictional person?
It's just dumb. People will discover it.
Lying about a degree?
Is dumb, but less likely to be exposed. But she created not one but two fictional people (hi baby O'Brien) and arguably a third since someone had to donate sperm.
Why?
It's not like he needs the money from patreon. He could have received enough asspats from just the standard woman in tech spiel on patreon.

It's probably more than just the money. Wu craves attention. Using the women-in-tech spiel can only go so far media-wise when other women in tech actually have tangible accomplishments other than being women.

By spinning tales and making her seem like a big shot, Wu can squeeze a bit more attention because she's unlikely to finish the Rev 60 port by herself at this point.

The funny thing, though, is that Wu can definitely garner attention if ever media folk finds the balls to call out her crap, just not the attention she wants.

...So this little Medium article was brought to my attention when I got back from work:

Apparently, this particular Medium article was written by an angry former Patreon sponsor of Brianna Wu's, who posted anonymously to protect themselves (and their sources) from retaliation.

The TL;DR: The writer of this article stumbled upon the evidence that Natalie isn't real, consulting several colleagues about it, and no one was able to collaborate Natalie's existence. Over $30,000 to pay for the salary of someone who doesn't exist is a pretty tall order, and the Medium article then goes on to warn others - unless the proof of Natalie's existence emerges, Wu's Patreon is most likely a scam.

This take-down is brutal. It encapsulates a lot of what we gathered on Brianna Wu and Natalie O'Brien, but it also adds stuff we flat-out didn't have, like the responses by Emma Clarkson over whether or not Natalie was even real or not. This plus the allegations that other Wu employees have disputed Natalie's existence means this whole thing just got a whole lot more interesting.

A Lexis search returns 13 hits for people named Natalie O'Brien in Massachusetts.

Six of them are deceased, with all of them having died no later than 2010. They are unlikely to have been pregnant at the time Flynt/Wu hired them.

Of the remaining seven, five were 40 or older in 2015 -- including one older than 50 and one in her nineties. Flynt/Wu would have certainly mentioned his pregnant assistant's advanced age in order to get more pity bucks.

Of the remaining two -- whose ages Lexis doesn't reveal -- one lives in an $800,000 house in Lexington and probably doesn't need Wu's charity. The other lives in a mansion in a town on Cape Cod, more than 70 miles from Wu's corporate HQ, which sounds like a damned long commute for a wealthy pregnant woman who would probably prefer to hang out by her swimming pool rather than spend her days in a filthy kennel listening to a shrieking, sociopathic tranny.

Wu is a pathological liar who gets off on telling lies. That's why they don't make much sense from a practical perspective. Wu is literally addicted to lying.

If 'Natalie' is just a lie (which it seems to be) does anyone remember where Wu/Flynt would have stolen the idea from? I presume there was some celebrity that made a splash by hiring someone to screen their social media since South Park would later mock the concept.

It's not like they wouldn't have come out on their own. They'd know they'd be met with extreme praise from the media and social media. Anyone who disagrees with "Lili"'s gender will obviously get their shit impounded from dumbass self-righteous SJWs.
I won't say much about Jennings, but they claim that "Jazz" choose to be tran's at the age of 4-years-old. This makes me really suspicious of their reality TV show. They could just be exploiting Jennings for money.
Damn! The salt levels are off the charts! Maybe if you actually put out your """game""", and weren't such a dick, then Google would hire you.
Also, wasn't Moot anti-gamergate?

Part of Wu's recurring narrative is that she is a "Leader". All evidence points to the fact that everyone who actually worked for GSX was driven away, leaving no one but Brianna, Frank, and Amanda. With Amanda being a co-founder and Frank being her spouse, it's difficult to claim a leadership position, so Wu almost HAS to make someone up that she can visibly boss around on twitter to appear like she's in charge of something. Plus, she appears to think it makes her look important if she pretends she is so busy that her schedule is prepared by someone else and she is unaware of what she's going to be doing (when in all actuality it just makes her look like a twat).

I have no idea if Natalie was a made up character that existed prior to this but it was a pretty bad idea for Wu to give the fictional person a name and then start mentioning that her patreon pays her. If it had remained a nameless employee then nobody would have cared because it'd just be another Wu lie. Now it could actually be a big deal if someone raises enough of a stink.
Even more damning is that Wu never mentions Natalie anymore. When was the last time she mentioned her by name? Was it actually all the way back to July of last year where "Natalie" wrote the Kickstarter update? Even when she was doing some e-panhandling yesterday, she didn't say anything about paying for an administrator - just vague nonsense about how the money doesn't actually go to her but she didn't name specifics for it.

Now I have a mental image of Wu doing a Keyser Soze. One night she needed to get Frank for help, went into his man cave, saw a poster of Natalie Portman from Phantom Menace and then an action figure of Miles O'Brien from Star Trek. Light bulb.

The reason she made up the lie was probably because people noticed she was on Twitter ALL the fucking time. Also big shots apparently never do their own work.

Flynt/Wu wrote: @jsnell@caseyliss It's unfortunate that it's main homonym for your name. ^^ My maiden name was that of a famous pornographer, so I get it.

What kind of idiot thinks that snell is a homonym of smell? Just because two words rhyme doesn't make them homonyms. This is taught in high school. Aside from being a fraud and a sociopath, Flynt/Wu is simply not very bright.
The fuck it is, it's taught in first grade, maybe even earlier.

There may not be proof that would hold up in a court of law but you'd have to be clinically brain dead to think Natalie is real at this point. John has used the "office" Twitter to sperg about pop culture and vidya hundreds of times.

While moot was always a disgusting cuck, he is actually competent at what he does.
You don't have to like him to hire him, and Google is smart enough to know that. Moot is, and always will be a faggot, but he's a skilled faggot.

Hoping moot can repeat something like 4chan is kind of wishful. His attempts to go mainstream in the past haven't been terribly impressive.

However, Google+ is such an unmitigated disaster that he can't actually make it worse.

Oh man, we need to go back and find the periods where "Natalie" was in control of Wu's Twitter handle but still retweeting random pop culture junk and getting into Internet slapfights. Those were the best.

Moot created a website that for the most part, made internet culture what it is today and is still one of the most active sites on the internet while he was in high school, and without an advanved degree of any kind.
Wu leeches off the whiny rejects of that same internet culture, lies about his college degrees to seem important, and only ever contributed to an abysmal iphone game. He has the gall to think he's better than Moot in any way, and makes the excuse that it's Moot's white privilege that got him his job, and not his role in the creation of one of the most influential websites ever.
Wu may be reality impaired, but this is just stupid.

Google+ is an embarrassment for everyone involved in it. Letting moot take a crack at it to prove himself is a shrewd move. If he fucks up, nobody gives a shit because you haven't lost anything, and if he succeeds, they have a successful product and a competent employee to thank.
It's a good strategy.
Wu is just pissy because for all her shit about backchanneling and secret under-the-table deals, she has very little influence. She is now being shown up by someone who actually does have a bit of pull around Silicon Valley, and so she lashes out about white male privilege.
