If Elon even slightly tweeks the rules on troons, like has already been leaked, the firestorm that ensues will be enough that token statements like this won't matter. I don't think this is the entire coucil, just a portion of it. It will be interesting to see if/how he balances these people. After looking them all up it seems they are only one side of the coin. He cannot "balance" the social justice, intersectional views he will put on that Council. The only balance to that are true reactionaries (not MAGApedes, not classical libs like James Lindsay).
The social justice lens is characterized by its will to fully employ the power of BOTH capital and the state to force out a social agenda. It cannot be opposed by those that have a near religious belief in free markets and corporations. It cannot be opposed by those that are dedicated to Liberal Democracy.
The social justice crowd can ONLY be opposed by people that are willing to use the state and corporations to crush their ideological enemies and set them back to the margins of society where they used to be circa 1940s.
The minimum required for such reaction are people like Matt Walsh and Viktor Orban. Still cucking hard on a number of issues, they are happy to make laws that specify who can marry or which university is allowed to teach, or to cut down troon propaganda.
People that are able to oppose the DEI squad should pass a litmus test:
- sex is binary and objective biological reality, gender is just inner feelings and a construct
- nations are constructed around peoples and ethnic groups, often imperfectly so
- majorities have a right to impose their democratic will on social and cultural issues to a point (i.e. you cannot vote to mass murder rival groups)
- there are states of normal and abnormal being; people can be ill and illness is to be treated, not glorified and embraced
- societies should have ideals to pursue and aim towards excellence.
Without having the courage to set clear demands, all is lost. Nothing but intellectual, smart reaction (i.e. not chuds and anime nazis) can oppose liberal and progressive deconstruction of society.
I don't think Musk knows or understands any of that. He might be business or rocket smart, but other than that he seems grug-like "OMG they transed my daughter reee, want vengeance". But he is caught within the framework of liberalism and its endless pursuit of individualism and rights, which the social justice crowd is EXTREMELY good at exploiting.
