RI is usually deep blue, but this year the Republican candidate, Alan Fung, is actually polling pretty far ahead of his Democrat opponent. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Tuesday sided with an argument made by Republicans in their lawsuit seeking to prevent the counting of improperly completed ballots in next week's general election, throwing out a lower court's ruling that would have allowed PA election officials to count absentee and mail-in ballots that were not correctly dated and signed.

PA's Supreme Court justices vacated the 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals' decision that would have allowed the counting of ballots that were not completed as the Keystone State election laws require, and ruled that the "Pennsylvania county boards of elections are hereby ordered to refrain from counting any absentee and mail-in ballots received for the November 8, 2022 general election that are contained in undated or incorrectly dated outer envelopes."

The PA Supreme Court also in its ruling directed "the Pennsylvania county boards of elections segregate and preserve any ballots contained in undated or incorrectly dated outer envelopes" and noted that the "Court is evenly divided on the issue of whether failing to count such ballots violates 52 U.S.C. 10101(a)(2)(B)."

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel celebrated the win in Pennsylvania as "massive" for "election integrity."

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Monday will raise the possibility of imposing a ‘windfall tax’ on energy companies if they don’t boost domestic production, as his administration aims to combat high gas prices just days before the midterm elections.

The White House said Biden will deliver remarks to respond ”to reports over recent days of major oil companies making record-setting profits even as they refuse to help lower prices at the pump for the American people.” A person familiar with the matter said Biden will float imposing a tax on the profits of energy companies, as he seeks to pressure them to lower prices for consumers. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity to preview Biden’s remarks.

“The president will again call on oil and gas companies to invest their record profits in lowering costs for American families and increasing production,” a White House official said Monday on the condition of anonymity to discuss Biden’s speech. “And if they don’t, he will call on Congress to consider requiring oil companies to pay tax penalties and face other restrictions.”


“Oil companies made billions in profits this quarter,” Biden tweeted on Saturday. “They’re using these record profits to pay out their wealthy shareholders instead of investing in production and lowering costs for Americans. It’s unacceptable. It’s time for these companies to bring down prices at the pump.”
High prices at the pump have exacerbated inflation and have taken a toll on Biden and Democrats’ standing among voters.
Congress would have to approve any additional taxes on the energy producers — which would be a tall order in the current Congress where Democrats have narrow control of the House and Senate, and even less likely should Republicans retake one or both chambers on Nov. 8.

Last week Exxon Mobil broke records with its profits in the third quarter, raking in $19.66 billion in net income, and Chevron had $11.23 billion in profits, almost reaching the record profits it attained in the prior quarter.

Americans have struggled with painfully high gasoline prices in recent months, paying more than $4.80 on average for a gallon of regular at the beginning of July, according to AAA. They’ve since fallen to $3.76 on average nationally, but the White House says they should be lower, given declines in global oil prices over the same period.
“Can’t believe I have to say this but giving profits to shareholders is not the same as bringing prices down for American families,” Biden tweeted on Friday.
Biden has been critical of energy companies profits since at least June, when he complained publicly that “Exxon made more money than God this year.”

So that sounds like a bad omen for Democraps in that the people most likely to vote for their people are not enthused enough to get up off their asses (which is typically the case anyways during mid-terms). Also you have to keep in mind that if a lot of these races are flipped, it will be thanks to more blue-dog democrats abandoning the party, which would presumably happen during a red wave.

Biden's ascent over Bernie was an enormous middle finger to the youth vote, and the Democrats used a lot more of their political capital to accomplish this than most people realize. Rather than address young peoples' economic or political concerns, the Democratic party just wraps itself in the rainbow flag and pushes a bunch of troon lunacy while telling them to fuck off pretty much everywhere else. I fucking hope young people don't come out for the midterms. It's not like Dems would pander to them under any circumstances, but at least they would show they're not totally cucked.

The latest scheme to rig elections In Michigan​

The witches brew of election rigging continues to bubble over. Michigan citizens will soon decide the fate of election integrity and security in their state as the Nov. 8 mid-term election approaches.
Proposal 2, known as the Right to Voting Policies Amendment or more commonly, the Promote the Vote initiative, is a cauldron of potential election malfeasance. If it passes, it will become embedded in the state constitution. We have previously discussed egregious aspects of this proposal.
However, one little known aspect of Proposal 2 is that it would permit the combining of precincts together through absentee voter counting boards. This would result in the loss of precinct level results.
Here is why this is important and disturbing.
In a 2022 primary election in DeKalb County, GA, a Democrat commissioner’s race had a machine programming error which caused one of the candidates, Michelle Long Spears, to get zero votes in multiple precincts. In fact, it was referred to as a “perfect storm” of issues that led to inaccurate results. Spears knew that she and her husband had voted for her in their own precinct as well as family and friends so how could the vote be zero for them? The only way she caught the error was by looking at precinct-level results. She was granted a hand recount and went from last to first in the District 2 primary race.
If you look at the AVCB (Absent Voter Counting Board) in 2020 in Detroit, they had 503 precincts but only 134 counting boards. So they were combining precincts into counting boards. The problem is that when they reported the results, the precinct totals disappear, and it was one number that was reported from the AVCB. Below is a hypothetical example of how this situation could occur (as in DeKalb) but not be caught. Obviously, there is something wrong with precincts 2 & 3, but that is hidden because the precincts are combined.

Inflation and the economy are the the top issues period and are on top of every poll. According to one I looked at, concern over inflation has increased 9 percent since August. The idea that the economy would take the back seat to cultural warfare stuff is absurd. You're acting like hardcore liberals are the only ones voting.
