It started the whole Ao3 "revolution" and most of fandom began to left Livejournal, Tumblr was at the right place at the right moment to absorb a lot of that migration. What happened after till the Russians bought LJ was just the slow death of the platform.
Then the same thing happened to Tumblr and now they are all on Twitter.

Advertisers "temporarily freezing" ad spends on Twitter would essentially just be spreading their cheeks wide for their competition to swoop in, snap up that (now cheaper) space and fuck 'em hard.

Nah, advertisers aren't going to change a damned thing. This recommendation is just going to make this agency look fucking stupid.

The biggest kek is they have nowhere else to go. All they have is Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. TikTok's video format isn't exactly advertiser friendly with YouTube already being a prime example of that, Facebook belongs to boomers with no rising userbase, and I suppose Instagram has plenty of room to dump ad money, but they already do that and a bidding war for ad space does no one any favors.

Utterly expected. Musk himself dick rode his way into VC money by knowing the right people and now his own dick is completely in a vice.
