I honestly doubt this happens nearly as much as the industry's reputation suggests; much as "sex workers" try to come across as perfectly healthy, normal people, the fact is it's a very rare thing for a "top-tier" porn actress to be anything near mentally balanced and healthy and I sincerely doubt it takes much "pressure" of any kind to get them to do increasingly extreme stuff as their careers progress. Do drugs & alcohol help spread legs (and other things) on-set? Sure. But these women know that, and they go anyway... can't exactly act too surprised when it goes down exactly as everything expects it will.

Its really more the third situation, where they trick the girls into signing contracts, then pressure them into doing things like naked photoshoots that the contract didn't stipulate. Then use what they have to blackmail the women into doing more extreme stuff. That or they just surround them with men and pressure them into going into porn straight away. They are taking advantage of Japan's cultural deference towards not making trouble for others and simply going with the flow, along with the extreme pressure towards conformity, in combination with Japan being an extremely patriarchal society, where women are very much beneath men socially and culturally. Its a combination of things that leads to these situations, and there have been several high profile cases that have gripped Japan in recent years, which is what led to the law change. The women being pressured into doing these things don't want to be porn stars in the first place, so we really can't compare them the women who do willingly try to get into pornography. That's like comparing a human trafficking victim to someone who willingly went into prostitution to make ends meet.

The women in this video are those who willingly went into porn and thus are thinking about the situation only from their point of view, versus those who tricked into it, and thus didn't want to be there at all. Thus you have a situation where everybody on either side of the issue sees the situation only from their experience and assume everybody else in their position had the same experience (all porn stars are victims tricked into the industry or taken advantage of vs. porn stars are there willingly and all want to be there and make careers out of their work).
