I hate the Internet and the people who own it

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm on satellite net which routes my antenna to a datacenter in Ohio. My physical location is in the continental US. I live a mile from the nearest cable internet line, so here I am on shitnet. Oddly the farms is online. Perhaps the provider tries for another exit point if a site doesn't respond to one.
I've seen nobody else that is on complete total clearnetnet without tor, a VPN, or a pseudo VPN (I'm not sure what it is, but that's what's been described).

Also I CAN connect on tor, but old fashioned satellite net is on geosynchronous satellites and has a theoretical minimum ping of around a second. I'm very glad clearnet is working for me.

I am on microwave internet and fully functional on clearnet w/o use of any intermediary such as VPN.

Good to know that's working for people. Does that opera VPN put you in another country or is it US based?
Everything's working fine for me over a NL VPN or TOR.
You have the option to pick a region, US, Europe, Asia.
It will default to your nearest I believe.

Works for me, otherwise I have to use a vpn.

Just to confirm, AT&T does not work in SouthEast US. Mullvad VPN connections to US and Canada do not connect, but the UK worked. I guess that's what we get for mocking the UK's television and porn licenses.

Just a thought, but since tier 1 providers are now willing to blackhole entire websites from the clearnet, what about all the other sites that contain fucked up content like animated child porn and furrycub porn? I mean, if we're to this level, maybe someone offsite should start a movement to get content that encourages the sexual exploitation of children blackholed from the internet. I'm sure trannies and furries definately would not find that idea objectionable.

Fuck it, they want a sanitized internet? Let them have it. Censored clearnet is the new reality, let's get something good out of it for ourselves at least.

It's not "companies." We could easily cope with that and have. It's basic infrastructure being fucking broken at a fundamental level.

Remember that net neutrality shit? How we said if that doesn't exist, and traffic isn't all treated equally, shit like this could happen? Well, golly gee, it's happening.
As I recall, the net neutrality shit would have placed the internet in the hands of the governments of the world.

Considering the DHS has been conspiring with Twitter and Facebook to "curate" posts for "disinformation," I think this was inevitable either way.

So this is exactly what I speculated about yesterday, it is similar to how the anime torrent site nyaa.si is blocked by ISPs and you need a VPN to access it. it's pretty funny, actually.

Movie Night?
That was what, lolcow.tv/something?

It's all about Chudbuds.lol now. No need to be at the mercy of a lolicon alcoholic midget.
I mean, last I heard Null's account is still on poa.st, so if I want any less critical updates then I'm going to at least need to indirectly access poa.st.

How big is the rift between the two lands? Is it a culture thing or are there actual embargoes and sanctions?

I wonder does this open them up to liability for other sites.
Before they could claim they are only simple pipes which didn't curate what went through them. But now that they actively determine what they allow though, that argument no longer stands.
ISPs are not hosts, I'm fairly certain 230 does not apply to them. They have complete discretion to censor as they please.

I think this is the best route long term. The genie is out of the bottle, so acceleration is the only option. If we (I don't mean us kiwis specifically) can get this tactic applied to bigger sites, sites leftists would care about, we could get some actual fervor behind this movement.

As someone pointed out earlier, phone companies had this level of freedom until enough people got pissed for something to be done. Now they've been common carrier for as long as anyone can remember. I don't normally advocate for accelerationism, but in this instance we have nothing to lose. Either it would unfuck the internet or give me smug satisfaction watching hose faggots lose their hugboxes. I win regardless.

Since the LowEndTalk KiwiFarms thread is now private and registration is disabled, here are some archived screenshots that @Flaming Dumpster made:
(Edit: I have problems getting page 4 inserted, but it's below as attachment.)
Attached updated screen caps. For some reason page 6 didn't generate a thumb I guess (probably due to the ridiculous resolution) so it's just a link.

I'm using either TOR or mullvad and both connect fine (I connect from Sweden via mullvad) I'm in Germany but haven't opened kiwifarms via clearnet in ages because Germany doesn't really have freedom of speech and various government officials often lament not just blanket logging all connection data and even automated searching for thought crimes in chats so I just got used to do things like this. Knowing the IT industry here and the pests that inhabit it my guess is that germany probably will have problems too.

I can understand wanting kiwifarms to be reachable via clearnet but this site's function and existence is important and I'd rethink that stance. (I can totally understand the other side of the argument too. All TOR-only communities tend to either be garbage or turn into garbage when they get flooded by unapologetic pedos, schizos and other dregs of society, but maybe kiwifarms could withstand that flood. It withstood so many others.) You're doing an important thing Null and to be frank with you I don't think you'll ever be able to return to a normal life to begin with. Even if you shut the site down right after I post this, delete everything and suck the tranny cock. They're psychopaths and they want you destroyed.

The Opera free "VPN" is not a true VPN (they have a true VPN, but it costs money).

It is a proxy that provides some indirection, but has well known IP addresses. So for example you can't post on certain forums while using it. Needless to say KF is not one of those forums.

Helpful link for seeing what's going on under the covers of any VPN or proxy:

There's a reason all right. They're stopping misinformation/nazis/antimaskers/whatever verboten thing this week.
Remember, Kiwi Farms is a UNIQUE threat to the existence of humanity that justifies this unprecedented move.

The next target will be even MORE unique. . .and it won't be unprecedented, they've done it already.
I prefer the Escape From LA solution:
I like the Fight Club one. Also it has a Pixies song in it.
That said, maybe we're more like The Devil's Rejects.

Not sure about liability but they've at least set a precedent where they'll no longer be able to deny any knowledge.

It absolutely does open them up to liability. Until now, they were functionally acting as common carriers, even if they aren't legally required to, because they understood that it was the only way to avoid the inevitable mess of contradictory legal demands from the different jurisdictions they serve. They remained content-agnostic and let the local law enforcement deal with things within their jurisdictions, where it's supposed to happen. Now, they've opened themselves up to pressure to either null unwanted routes, or de-peer from other providers that continue to advertise those routes. That's the end of the Big-I Internet.

Not so fun fact. Their actions are probably insulated from liability by Section 230.

Front pages says the outage is only affecting Americans, I've been unable to access on the cleanet in Australia. VPN connected to Europe I've been able to access no problems though. Good luck @Null I'm glad to see you keep fighting the good fight in spite of everything, I hope you go have yourself a nice ice cold beer 🍻
