russia shills keep pushing that mean ukrainian cut off water supply from crimea. so mean.

but somehow they keep forgetting small detail, that they did not pay for that water
Instead Ukrainian authorities cut the flow of water from the normal spring level of 80-85 cubic meters per second to 4 cubic meters per second, the lowest technically feasible volume. Kiev justified their action by claiming that Crimea has an outstanding debt on water supplies.

Then they built new dam on the north Crimean canal and shut off water flow. You think there aren't a shiton of sites that wrote about it when it happened, and afterward? First the excuse was "outstanding bills"and then it was they don't need water for drinking, and so on. Stop lying.

Gopniggers abandoning Kherson city

Another scintillating victory for Moscow
This is based on social media clips of removal of some dumb flag.
Nobody sane, including Ukrainian army, is not buying it, in fact there has been speculation it might be a trap.
Let's chill and wait to see how things develop if/when the fighting starts

First off, thank you for such a thorough post. Very informative. One thing that surprises me is that based on the above casualty rates for Russians and Ukranians seem roughly similar, no? I had gotten the impression based on Russian artillery superiority and that they seemed comfortable falling back to defensible positions and forcing UAF forces to advance on them that UAF losses were significantly higher than Russians. With of course the UAF numbers being much higher to begin with. Your take is that losses are quite similar?
Real numbers are not going to be available until the end of the war at best. Official numbers are just numbers that party that reports them isn't able to hide or have a reason to disclose. Ukraine probably reported theirs because of the shitshow that Kherson offensive was for them to ease the nerves of Ukraine supporters. This is why they look like 1 to 1. How true it is is hard to tell. After their Kharkov success there is no need for them to report anything to keep moral high.
Think of those numbers as the absolute minimum of deaths on each side and count them as Russia+DPR+LPR for Russian losses and Ukraine for Ukrainian. I don't think Russia will start including DPR and LPR losses into its own until the war ends, because it would be hard to explain from where ~6k losses suddenly appeared.

That river had flown into the Crimea for thousands of years. The Ukranian govt. didn't put it there, they don't summon the rains to fall on it and fill it up. But they did actively build a damn further up and shut it off so that the people downriver couldn't drink from it. They did force the people of Crimea to drain water from aquifers so that they could drink which led to an infusion of salt water replacement which has damaged large areas of arable land for many generations to come. And all because, in the words of Ukranian officials "the people of Crimea can have drinking water when they give up on their ideas of independence".

Blocking water from the people of Crimea was a hostile and despicable act. And the bizarre retort of "did they pay us for the river" doesn't make it less hostile in anybody's eyes. But it does make you sound vindictive and cruel.

They claim to want to "liberate" Crimea. It doesn't sound like they care about the people who've lived there for generations.

Keep in mind they did that while claiming Crimea is Ukrainian clay, they did it to their own people who are apparently under Russian occupation by their own admission.

Nigger, what?

I guess it is complicated, that if you don't pay for water, you don't get it.

You are correct that I didn't know it was an artificial canal built by the Soviets. Cutting off drinking water to the people to force them to submit is still despicable and I recall a Ukranian politician (I think it was Zelensky) saying that they wouldn't get water until they gave up on independence. I think "outstanding debt" was more of a rationale, else it suddenly came due at exactly the time the Russians invaded. Russia, I've learned from reading in response to your reply, repeatedly tried to raise this with the European Court of Human Rights and wasn't heard because the Crimea was still considered part of Ukraine by other parties. So in fact @Feline Supremacist had the right of it in saying, at least as far as the rest of the world are concerned, that the Ukraine cut off water supply to its own citizens. That is atrocious.

I've also learned, following you post, that drinking water was just part of it. The lack of water caused a collapse in farming. They tried to inflict their own little holodomor on their people / the Crimean.

Here s another one from Germany. The economic consequences seem to be more interesting than the war itself at the moment.

'Massive scars': Germany's Uniper posts record 40 bln euro net loss

Uniper is a top 50 energy supplier in Germany, servicing the region where I m from. 40 bln in US$ losses since January. Shares lost 93% of value. At the moment they are on government support having received 14 bln so far. And either they are in the process of being nationalized or are already taken over.

My mom said her landlord warned her that the gas bill will go up either times 4 or 5 soon. For her 50 square meter apartment it was about 100 Euro per month until recently.

Good stuff because they still reporting about this stuff. When it gets real bad they will just stop.

Some bits and pieces about Poland because my wife is from there. In her hometown the hospice started asking for donations because they have trouble covering their energy bill. Fucking babcia has to bite the bullet earlier than expected. Lets see if the catholic church is fine with that... Oh well Slava Ukrainii!

Maybe Germany will soon have to consider invading its neighbors for gibs to make up for the losses

According to Soldier of Fortune, the Wagner group is now recruiting US-trained Afghans to prop up their numbers: https://sofmag.com/wagner-recruiting-afghan-commandos-to-fight-in-ukraine/ (Archive)
Imagine how humiliated the US would be to find their trained Afghans are now going to be working for Russia against them (because it's no longer a secret we have troops in Ukraine). How much more pathetic can our government get?

Hint:
Wait until we field our own all tranny battalion

If russia would care for it's "citizens", they woudl pay up due payment of water to Ukrainian government.
Russia offered to pay for water, Ukraine refused and shouted "occupation", I believe they hope to "liberate" Crimea not only from the Russians, but also the Crimeans. Moreover, the geniuses running Ukraine blocked the water not only to the Crimea but also to the southern regions of the then Ukrainian Zaporozhye and Kherson because fuck Russia.

Let's set some things straight here.
If you live as a minority in a foreign country, like a kebab in Kosovo, i.e. Serbia, or a Hungarian in Transylvania, or some Arab in the West...
... you should submit culturally and politically to the will of the majority, integrate/assimilate, or leave/be expelled if you get uppity.
Peoples should have homelands where they make the rules. Having guests is fine, but you will behave as a guest and know where the limits are, you're not there to dunk on "colonial past" of France or UK, or seethe about Trianon, or some other similar BS.
Minorities are not speshul, not worthy of speshul protections, and should be immediately put in their place if they tend to get troublesome.
The one and only reason people are so fucking confused about this is because of Westoid Liberalism, which has misguidedly made minorities into some sort of holy categories that the majorities should never bother.
We have to return with our feet back to earth and acknowledge human tribes and populations and ethnic conflicts, and that the best path towards peace is having peoples in their homeland, with internationally recognized borders, and international coalitions spanking those that want to chimpout for land. We have to fix Palestine, Kosovo, Tibet and more, and it will be a pain in the ass, but it has to be done. And we should GTFO Africa and leave them to their devices, that crap is not worth trying to fix.

And I guess Russia has become the flagbearer for the right to be able to do those things you speak of.

I guess Donetsk and Lugansk, historically Russian land, would agree, Odessa, which is also historically Russian, would agree as well.
