It was rather light hearted but Null explained the down time in certain places, it's basically a middle man fucking around and claiming the website doesn't exist when routing traffic. Something you can do is contact your ISP and politely ask why it's not connecting unless you set your VPN to something like France or the UK, that will actually cause them to look into it and maybe get things up and running in more places.

Otherwise it was mostly a recap of all the bullshit and how Null is handling traffic. Oh and Null promised to become a one man apocalypses.

Worth the watch if you like talk about such shit and enjoy Null streams.

After recently spending a great deal of time archiving what I could of MATI from YT & Odysee (archive channel as well) - Rumble slaughters them in speed for downloading videos. Was getting 100s of kb/s from Odysee on 130GB+, YT was better but not by much.

I've also started archiving things recently; once I've got a hold of every Jim thing I can, I want to eventually move on to Josh stuff, but it's mostly a personal minimalist archive, so I download everything at the lowest quality, audio format when applicable. What's your method for downloading from Rumble? Can it just download an MP3 instead of the whole video? Otherwise, can you send me an audio file so I don't have to eat 2000 gigs of data for a 2-hour stream?

I've archived MATI on and off for a couple years for a personal archive but only in the past 6-9 months have I really ramped it up. Trying to include all things related to the KF/MATI sphere so Nick's streams with Null become a part of that - still need to grab Jim & Metokur related content (have some not all). To go along with the YouTube streams before Null stopped keeping them up on his YT channel I've also archived all of the 'archive' channels (kiwifarmsarchive is the biggest from what I've found). When I find the time that I don't have I'll go through and chronologically order them I'll also decide on the best quality of whatever files I currently have.

As far as Rumble goes, so far Nick's channel has been my only experience. yt-dlp will pull a live stream but for Rumble it seems to get stuck on his channels intro vid at times - probably something that can be worked on by the devs as yt-dlp supports many sites. Once the most recent stream from yesterday was finished processing on their backend - I was able just to hand yt-dlp the direct link to the processed stream and it pulled it without issue. Space isn't a constraint to me so I'll keep the highest quality copies and if I decide to host them I'll optimize & transcode them to H265 if they aren't already and go from there. I haven't tried to just download audio yet but I know when I use yt-dlp it pulls the video and audio stream separate then uses ffmpeg to combine them. You can tell yt-dlp not to delete the separate files and keep the audio file, or just extract the audio from the video yourself if bandwidth isn't an issue. Most streams at largest tend to only be 2-3GB at most most around 1-1.5GB.

Rumble has been having problems over the past 24 hours or so. Yesterday I'd be watching a stream and the source mp4 file would 404 partway through, then 5 minutes later it'd start working again. I resorted to downloading the mp4 and just playing it through the browser.

I haven't been having that issue today, but several of the videos in my feed have broken preview images. E.g.

I assume whatever the problem is will be fixed eventually.

I'd love to see a subforum here sharing torrents of collections of these that we'd worry would vanish; even if we're just talking turning it from 5 people who'd preserve this stuff into 30... ideally a couple hundred...

This happened to me both yesterday and today trying to capture the live stream. You can see today's MATI on Rumble right now broken off during super chats. Funny yesterday it cut off right where Nick was going about trans people then CUT hahaha
