You’re not being retarded. Use an alias email to contact anyone.Hopefully this site get back fully on the Clear Net without us having to reveal that we visit the farms.
I am just concerned that the same retard that broke the ISP connection is getting Cc'ed all our personal info and they could attempt to leak it.
Please tell me if I am being a retard.
If you need to prove you’re a customer submit a redacted bill with a shot of the email in progress you’re typing along with it.
Good News: PIA servers had the site blocked all day yesterday and it’s now open on Clearnet. My brother and myself both contacted PIA to ask about the outage.
Some VPNs allow you to split your traffic so that some applications go through the VPN and others do through your regular internet.
I strongly recommend you take advantage of this feature if you have it, and maybe even install a KF specific browser to really isolate the FK traffic to the VPN.
Depending on your threat model, routing all your data through a VPN can be bad because if someone already has suspicions of 3 seemingly unrelated accounts all being you, and if they all suddenly connect from the same IP in Israel at the same time... Then they in tandem jump to the Netherlands and Ukraine after that, that's pretty solid evidence that all 3 accounts are the same device. And if one of those accounts is a professional business account, you've doxed your other two. And it's really easy to accidentally do connect from multiple accounts at the same time without realizing if you have any auto syncing going on, like an email client.
HOWEVER on the other end of the spectrum, funneling all your traffic over the clearnet except the one sensitive thing also makes it easy to identify you, as the times you're connected to the VPN will 1:1 correlate with the times your kiwi account is active. So you should toss some trivial things in your VPN activities as well.
Use a VPN always. Just pretend they are your home router from here on out. Most mobile VPNs are lacking, and make sure to test your desktop environments. It’s as simple as opening an ssh connection and then turning on the vpn. If you stay connected, your vpn sucks, get a new one.
I use a few VPNs. And I segregate easily by Firefox containers on desktop and Firefox Focus on mobile. It’s not too bad, I have a KF container that only ever visits KF and I use the same VPN for that all of the time. (Along with a handful of other sites). If you’re concerned pump a bunch of normie boomer traffic through it once a day.
Containers + discipline + VPNs really gets you very far into the mix of isolating yourself from any persona you may want to create or any website you would like to frequent with absolutely minimal personal data going across webzones.
Edit: tunneling is ok, I just wouldn’t use it strictly for KF. Just remember, it’s a single hop proxy which still means single point of failure.
