I won't pretend like I know the circumstances surrounding whatever is going on behind the scenes (we obviously have to wait and see), but of the possible people/groups to sue, it has me speculating:

• The Police - Seems pretty unlikely at this point, given how quite a bit of time has passed since the incident + Keffals's story has changed constantly with each and every retelling. IIRC they already said that they got all their stuff back after a few days, and on top of that, they're holding off on announcing who they're going after as they don't want evidence to be destroyed or covered up.
  • That last part sounds like they want to avoid having people delete their online messages, so it would probably be someone or some group they've mostly interacted with online.
• Destiny - Also pretty unlikely, given how Keffals has gloated about Destiny's deplatforming, threatened his livelihood more than once, and even admitted to Destiny about how they were lying behind the scenes to intentionally make others look bad.
  • Destiny has also claimed that he's mailed a cease and desist to Keffals the other day, so it would be pretty absurd for things to escalate all over again. Plus, I doubt the mainstream news would care about this being some kind of story to report on.
• Null/KiwiFarms - Easily the most likely candidate on the surface, yet based on what Null and others have already pointed out, it would be ridiculous to bring up all of this drama in court regarding their asinine tweets/statements, the porno videos they produced themselves, the sketchy HRT directory connections, etc. Which leads me to my final guess:
• One or More Online Posters - Individuals that can be identified for allegedly harassing them. I figure someone will point out how this would also be pretty far-fetched and rather unlikely, but I also wouldn't be surprised for an attempt to drum up a bit of publicity with some bullshit headline like, "Keffals unmasks the online trolls/haters behind vicious cyber attacks!"
  • It would essentially be their last ditch effort to use the funds for actual legal purposes as intended, though as they have to go through discovery, I would assume that it's not as clear-cut as they all may think.
