lol ... "why yes, I'll immediately sever ties with one of the two companies on this planet capable of heavy-lift orbital insertions and manned launches to the ISS and isn't affiliated with Russia or China just to save your precious twitter! That sounds like a brilliant idea!"

Fucking idiots.

Nice to see them admit they see twitter as a means of interfering with elections, though.
☝️ This. That Falcon Heavy launch last week? Wasn't commercial geostationary stuff. The programs that use those "I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you" grade spysats would be more than a little bit unhappy if they were left on the ground without a ride.

So sort of like our entire nuclear arsenal? Building that stuff created tons of jobs.
I never said weapons were a bad investment, but a Death Star would be. Unless you're in a universe like 40K where you might need to write off an entire planet because its biosphere is in the process of being eaten by extra-galactic bugs, you can't justify a planet cracker for military use.

Absolute state of lol

Just the fact Elon got someone who's terminally online and asshurt to use their dead mother's account to hold an unbanning campaign is the funniest shit to me.
The world could fucking nuke itself tomorrow and I'd still think it's the funniest shit.

Fuck all of these faggots

I'd be complaining if I was one of the ones that wasn't cut. 4 months paid off over the holidays and a severance package? I'm in. Who the fuck would willingly work that time for the same money instead?
Corps have been in a hire freeze and are also laying off people. Think about it: you have 4 months of pTO but you're do nothing retard with no accomplishments. Who's going to hire you?
Twitter was the place to nest up and continue to make a living doing nothing.

what are you going to do? Be a barista at Starbucks?

Why spend 44 billion dollars if you can't have fun with it? :story:

Also fun fact about Paul Krugman: He once wrote an article about how building the literal Death Star would be great for the economy.
This is his best prediction.

"By 2005 or so, it will become clear the Internet's impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's"

Any words on the results of the layoffs and email roulette?
Yea. Back on Thursday night/Friday Morning when they happened.

Upper Echelon just dropped a video summarizing the current state of Twitter.

He made two very interesting points that seems to have escaped almost everybody's notice in relation to advertisers pulling out of Twitter:
  • A number of advertisers had already suspended their ad spending with Twitter in September over allegations of CSA material being posted
  • Compared with other industries advertising on Twitter, there is a disproportionately high number of auto makers that have stopped advertising
If the first point is true, then there are a surprising number of companies out there that still have some form of moral compass.

The second point is blindingly obvious. Why would any auto maker want to spend money propping up a pet project for a competitor's CEO? Then there's the tiny issue of Tesla (via Musk) accessing data from these companies, learning how they spend their marketing budgets and which strategies are most effective. There might also be some doubts as to whether or not auto makers paying for advertising on Twitter would get a fair shake, given that Musk is balls deep in both Tesla and Twitter.

Hopefully one of the few based automotive writers out there has picked up on this and writes something about it.

Was he wrong?
I think that the death star is big enough that building and upkeeping it would cripple most non-death star industry on Earth. He was specifically talking about Earth building the death star. The empire in star wars can afford it because they have a whole galaxy to draw resources from. Even then they would have gotten more bang for their buck out of an equivalent cost number of star destroyers

It brings me great joy to see twitter get debased and financially fucked over. Ever since twitter stopped being a "stupid thoughts" site and started becoming the online political public square (at least for the USA) things have gone down hill. I can not tell you how much it makes me want to claw my fucking eyes out seeing dozens of "AOC CLAP BACKS ON TWITTER" "TED CRUZ LIKED LESBIAN PORN ON 9/11" "BERNIE SANDERS TWEETS FREE HEALTHCARE" type news headlines every week. The fact that a site that limits thoughts to a sentence or two at most became legitimized politically (mainly due to the President using it everyday for 4 years) was abhorrent enough. But Twitter is such a cesspool that moderators could barely stop (and probably didn't even want too) actual CP accounts let alone the rest of the disgusting degenerates that skate on by. It also makes me smile that Musk is the one to do all this, the dude is such hack and its been so much fun watching an obscenely powerful and rich man waste billions of dollars because people said mean things to him. Imagine having enough money to spend everyday on a private island with pristine beachs, the most beautiful women, the best drugs around, the most delicious food and with enough money left over to do it for 50 lifetimes and you decide that being MATI is more important. Its amazing.

I hope twitter rots away, I hope musk wakes up everyday cringing at his retardation and I hope the terminally online twatters cry rivers, And I hope that we get to laugh in their faces for years to come.

It at least gives Elon one potential way to attempt to curtail the death spiral, while simultaneously giving some of the advertisers a reason to get back on board, i.e. get rid of the CSAM. Let's just say that would probably also involve purging a lot of the so-called "activists" for a particular demographic.

I'd still definitely be a contractor on that project. Because fuck this gay Earth.

The moment Twitter dies Jersh will take KiwiFarms public and all of us will be shareholders of the biggest lulz trove in the Milky Way.
We will buy OnlyFans whoredom for our kitchens and we will sell detransitioning services for millions of dolla dolla
