The people homegrown in LA and Southern California are generally not very leftwing. It’s the transplants and the Sacramento Democratic machine that’s ruining this half of the state. I also have heard that Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire are more conservative than one would think.

I have a relative in SD who said Camp Pendleton is the only reason it isn't LA.
