There are even toys made to look like "real" gym equipment. I think Atlas would love something like this or this.
When he's a bit older, they could even set up a jungle gym/climbing structure like this for him in the garage, which appears to have quite a bit of space. It's likely too hot for much of the year for him to play outside, but having a space in the garage would be fantastic for him. He'd get to hang out with Glenn without being in harm's way, and they could make a big deal about how the play equipment was just for Atlas to use, not Daddy. Little kids get a kick out of having a space of their very own that is off-limits to grown-ups. It would be much safer and more developmentally appropriate than it is for him to wander freely around the garage playing with items that are not toys. A modular play structure could really grow with him for years, with pieces being swapped out as he gets bigger and more coordinated, until he's old enough to safely use real gym equipment if he wants to. He appears quite physically capable for his age, and I bet he'd really have fun climbing around on his own little playground. Glenn could make a big show of being impressed with the tricks Atlas learns and how awesome his little gym is, and it would be a sweet little bonding experience for them.
It just bums me out to see them shell out thousands of dollars for equipment Luna cannot use, while Atlas plays with stray objects in the deathtrap garage. Obviously, some of the equipment they've gotten for Luna is essential, like her stander and stroller, but I don't think we have ever seen Atlas with something special that belongs only to him.
Give me rainbows.
