I don't know much about Frank, but I'm thinking that he's either a pushover or an absolute masochist. I mean, dude has legit Hugo Awards. He can romance a good number of geek women (or trannies, if that's what he wants) who are better than Brianna (in the skills, personality, and looks department) with his creds, and yet he opts to stick with Bri, and even risks his reputation if ever the media finds the balls to question Brianna's lies.

How the fuck is saying "Smile" to women sexist? It's fucking common courtesy to say, "Smile" or "Look up" when someone is depressed, or just went or is going through hardship.
He's not just saying it to Hilary, he's saying to every candidate who got through it!

It can be seen as such due to girl children being told to smile so they'll be pretty. I hated it growing up, but it wasn't about sexism and just about the annoyance of being told to do something I didn't feel like doing.

The "smile" thing is one of the more hilarious radfem memes. It comes from it supposedly being one of the things "street harassers" say. Remember that video of 10 hours walking in NYC that showed black guys hitting on or attempting to interact with a woman walking? They manage to draw a tenuous line from that to any incidence of a woman being asked to smile. Or even photoshopped into smiling. It's part of postmodern "fantasy is reality" nonsense, where doing something fictionally, like to a photo, is one and the same as physically forcing someone to smile, like with dentist equipment and pulleys and shit.
