There’s a direct quote from the Twitter Slack.
You’re saying trust me it didn’t happen?
you just posted tweets of a literally who claiming it happened. A direct quote would be screenshots of twitter slack showing the messages. This is not evidence.
It’s not even that unlikely - something similar even happened at company I used to work for - coked up new management cuts an entire department and then find out they literally can’t do business without some key bit of knowledge that’s been lost and has to hire some back as a contractor.

There is a 100% chance this happened on some scale. At the global homo corp I work for, every wave of downsizing we've brought people back. Middle management isn't smart and has no clue what their underlings do.

Even if true (maybe it is) it sounds more like "we are open for rehiring as we will begin hiring shortly, and previous experience at Twitter is a leg up".

Nobody has said that all laid off twats were completely useless, some no doubt are good people. Why would you refuse to rehire?

This is just a guy saying it happened, it's fuck all proof. It's literally just a journalist saying "trust me bro".
I love your posts in the Beauty Parlour but you've been an absolute tard in this thread, you should stick to BP.
I’ve never posted in BP in my life bro.

You seem to have fallen victim to the right wing’s war on facts and journalism. But whatever, be well!

Because we refuse to take an unverified quote at face value anymore? Journalists burned their own credibility because of shit exactly like this. A couple of quotes from a single unnamed source does not instill credibility.

We don't know who said this, whether they have the right to rehire anyone, or if the quote was actually said on Slack. It may be true, but it's not good journalism. I'll trust the word of a random Kiwi over a twitter journalist any day of the week.

Our eSafety Commissioner - who used to work for Twitter - wants Elon Musk to know that she is concerned about the new direction of Twitter.

Why should American companies bend the knee to non-American government officials and bodies when they make demands. Maybe there is nuance that I'm missing something, but jurisdiction over the internet means nothing when your populace can pretend to be anywhere but their own country. What are they going to do, execute their citizens for visiting websites that their governments don't agree with? Throw them in prison? Ruin their life? Because some politician can't control companies from another country? Is this whole rant just autistic? Maybe I'm the one that's wrong, idk.

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not trying to beat on Kiwis in not-burgerland, but it has the same vibe as the New Zealand police people threatening to fine Null for not turning over tables of users and whatever the fuck else they wanted.

I am ashamed of fellow "European" crap we send to Brussels at the EU.

I should add that bans on hate speech are simple elite machinations, we Europeans never got to vote in a democratic referendum on limitations of freedom of speech, we never got a say in mass migration, faggotry and a LOT of other important issues.
All of these are inflicted upon us from the top by an unelected elite.

I’m enjoying the Twitter meltdowns so much. I don’t care if elon burns it to the ground, the heat from the fire warms my heart. Best 40 billion he ever spent 🤣

Imagine unironically loving twitter!

NPC MKBHD can reach all the people that matter:

Finally, the point of the video. How he is going to save twitter? Using the words his corporate owners put in his mouth.

Brace yourself, it’s big brain time. He’s pulling out the crayons for this one!

Lol, where do you jump in. Wow such a hard problem. Well let’s look at your crayon drawings. So, if you are big boi elon and you want to make back your 40 billion because you can’t afford to waste it since you are a poor. What do you do? Well don’t worry, MKBHD has found the ‘Virtuous Cycle’ all praise the ‘Virtuous Cycle’ for it well never lead you estray. You see this is a very complicated topic with three states. Creators, Content, and Monetization. So if you want to make your money back which step should Elon jump into. I know, such a fucking hard question. We are really going to have to put on our thinking caps here. Elon isn’t a creator so it’s not that one. He doesn’t make content so it’s not that one…. AH HA, we are soooooo smurt. Obviously it’s the monetization stage. Yes, definitely. We needed that shitty diagram to make that basic bitch point. Oof, your big brain and shitty penmanship saved us MKBHD. All Hail the advertisers!
But oh no, if you don’t suck the advertisers cock then what happens! No money! What is a npc to do!!!!! Don’t you understand elon musk! Ads run the world!!!!!!!

The Corporate Whore admits advertisers hate free speech. Who’da thunk it. Maybe that Virtuous Cycle isn’t so Virtuous after all. Hmmm. No that can’t be it. Advertisers are our fwiends.

So In summary, elon needs to get back into the club, and bend over for advertisers. Stop messing with our formula for exploiting the attention of retards Elon! Stahp it. We can make so much fucking money Elon. Stahp:

I can’t wait for Elon’s next tweet:

If I were elon, I would shutter all European Twitter hqs and let it be a Europe problem on how to handle the internet.

Christ he talks so much like a white man. "THE" Twitter. I'm not expecting ebonics, I just don't expect him to go that far in emulating white people. The light-skinned 56%ers in the US and EU that larp as white don't even talk like that.

Like I pointed out in my other post about verification and why the system changed, it was around that era in 2016 when Twitter was on the brink and basically the only way they were going to survive was by selling out completely and becoming what they are today.

I tend to figure the reason these services are the way they are isn't necessarily because they're filled with awful people; if anything they're filled with awful people because they need to make themselves into soulless authoritarian tools in order to survive, and no person with any sense of dignity or respect for others would be ok participating in that.

Therefore you wind up with a tech field full of weaklings, sociopaths, degenerates, the worst of society that know they can get power if they help sell everyone else out.

This is your internet, a globalist tool where the only policy is to assimilate or eliminate.

It bothers me that she didn't specify which laws. If she's talking about using back channels to get CSAM taken down as quickly as possible, I have no issue with that. There's no conflict with US laws and Twitter should be responsive to those requests no matter which country makes them. To date, it has an appalling track record when it comes to removing CSAM from the platform.

I have a huge issue, though, if she's asking Twatter to police content according to the laws of different countries.

Why isn't Elon fixing this immediately? It should be his primary task, if he wants the advertisers back who specifically cited it as a reason they're departing the platform.

Unless he bought Twitter just so all the CSAM could be his personal fap bank, why isn't he going after it IMMEDIATELY?

Most people (it's unfortunate that I have to only say 'most') can 100% get onboard with that, it's illegal under U.S. law and also illegal in, I think every country on this planet. Moderating terrible things that the internet has had a problem with since, basically forever isn't a problem. The problem I have is with the latter issue, where if I go on there and write out that I don't think men can get pregnant, I don't give a fuck about your hate speech laws in Europe, they don't apply to a U.S. company.
