Two competing words coming from there.

1: Democrats realized they couldn't withhold/prevent enough ballots to stop a Republican victory so decided to stem the bleeding.
2: Someone up top started looking into it so they rushed to fix it.

Unknown which if either is true.

But seriously, I wouldn't doubt they use that sticker offer to get a predictive model of the ratio of votes going one way or the other; at least that is what I'd be doing as a poll watcher.

The decrepit man at my polling place refused to let me put my ballot in the machine myself and gave it a good look up and down before feeding it in. Whatever.

Welp. The plans I had for the next few days are shittered so I have time to actually watch the election on/off as the night goes on.

I'm not sure if I should be happy about this or not. But at least I'll get to see the results.

Got back from my outing, and Kari Lake got my vote. Few other Repubs did as well, and I told the judges to fuck off. Propositions I didn't give a shit for except those that were open about implementing taxes, told them to fuck off with that shit, too.

Just real tired, when is 7:00 gonna be here yet?

Anecdotal, but in 2020 it was an hour and a half wait to get your ballot and the line was a good 300 people deep for me. Today there were maybe 10 people. The precinct is like 95% college dorms and apartments, so I was expecting less enthusiasm given that demographic really only turns out for presidential tickets but it was fucking grim.

So far this holds true, Nevada, Virginia, and Florida Democrats aren't turning out all. Not sure about Georgia, Arizona, or Pennsylvania yet, although in Maricopa County in AZ, Republicans are outvoing Democrats 4 to 1 in election day vote.
