You're completely right on both points, which is why the doctors and therapists who prohibit 'conversion therapy' also need to be lined up and shot in my opinion. Same for lawyers, policymakers - anyone involved in enabling this shit legally needs at least a bullet, and at best a public stoning.

Sadly I have to play the devils advocate: How is the genital butcher responsible for the healing process and how could even more butchering improve it?? That young man's genitals were horribly injured, how his body is healing can't be controled. Also note how apparently genital trauma isn't devastating for her son, but his crotch disaster not healing like he wants to is.
