Except most of the country favors some form of restriction on elective abortion. The problem is one of messaging, and faggots like Lindsey Graham proposing federal level limits on elective abortion even though the whole argument beforehand was about leaving it up to the states to decide.
Lindsay graham is what happens to the soul when you portray yourself as an unflinching hard far-right conservative, but by night you frolick with scores of gay men in DC, as the ladybug he is.

There's so many congressmen that need to finally croak of old age before this country has any semblance of normalcy. Graham, mcconnell, pelosi, Feinstein etc. There is just too much consolidated power to force/vote them out, and too much ego/money for them to go willingly. Why the founding fathers didn't set limits to arguably the most powerful people in government makes me think it was designed that way.

It's terrifying to realize that much of the US Government is still controlled by the generation previous to the Baby Boomers and the one that gave the Boomers the dumb ideas they like to claim as their own. Some of the people in charge voted for, or were fucked in a broom closet by, John F. Kennedy.

Making Oz the Republican choice was a bizarre one. Him losing to an actual bumbling dead brain is proof of that. It should have been a slamdunk with ANYONE else but no choose the out of towner shitskin scam artist. Smooth move, cunts who decide this shit.
I have only seen 2 people out in social media land who voted for Fettergrug stating their reason as they didn't want to vote for a foreigner(out of state nigger). The rest voted for him because people said mean things about his stroke and were abelist. All I can say is Pennsylvania and maybe the rest of the US is fucked to high hell lmao, ACCELERATE honk honk.

One narrative the GOP likely will pull out is "Trump was selfish for not using his campaign money on Trumpian candidates that we didn't want to fund".

DeSantis has something like twice as much money raised than Trump has thanks to establishment donors liking him more, yet never seemed to get similar complaints about how he should be giving up campaign money to others in the party. So Mitch and GOP will likely use this as a way of keeping power over the party as they can tell all GOP politicians that they won't be getting campaign money from the party if they side with Trump.

At the same time, the GOPe will have their media friends treat this election as a testament to Trump's failings by taking the position that every Trump endorsement that won had nothing to do with him and every Trump endorsement that lost was all on Trump. There's also a problem here where many right wing media people want to focus on culture war issues above everything else. They like being able to just talk about CRT, trannies, wokeness, and so on rather than the economy (unless it's to say Ukraine needs to lose already in the hopes that gas prices go down).

The Right's focus on CRT has probably been one of the greatest boons for the Democrats. Rather than talk of doing more fracking to help get fuel prices down and create more jobs you have right wing media talking about pronouns. While Matt Walsh can ask "What is a woman" the Dems can focus on talking about taxes and increasing social services for everyone.
I also predict Liz Cheney (D-Unemployed) will be sniffing around as the Saviour of the GOP if they start rejecting MAGA. She'll crow that she was right all along and set herself up as a kingmaker, party head, and/or 2024 candidate.

If the Republicans reject Trump or the Jan 6th crowd gets him deemed unable to run (de facto or de jure) and DeSantis doesn't run in 2024, she might very well get the nom as a safe RINO to run against Biden. And that will split the party and give us an 80+ year old President.

Diane Feinstein is 89 going on 90 and has been in politics for almost 50 years. She happens to sit on the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law. An 89 year old who grew up before modern computers existed is on a committee for modern technology, privacy and law. These are the people who need to kick the bucket or be forcibly removed.

Republicans didn’t have a plan. In fact, they actively avoided developing a plan. So voters had no idea what the fuck Republicans were going to do about the issues facing them like inflation. So people may hate what’s going on but the alternative provided them absolutely nothing.

That is why they lost key opportunities. The suburban burger prizes stability more than anything and without any kind of messaging that assures it, I’m not surprised the elections turned out the way they did. Also the demographic realities are starting to face some districts. The failures of getting immigration under control is going to have consequences as well.
No lie, I'd figured high crime and inflation rates would've been enough. I guess I was wrong. I only hope that Philadelphia stays segregated with its lifestyle.

Last I heard she was wanting to do a Lincoln Project deal as her new grift. She might drop in as a talking head on Rachel Maddow's show, but she's done being a politician.

She is also senile and was compromised by the CCP.

No worries folks keep voting for Diane!

Isn't that the main issue with the GOP oldguard in general? They have always thought they knew what's best for the people, atleast for middle class folk. Trump swept the midwest in 2016, and all of a sudden the RNC felt safe to dictate to PA what kind of candidate they needed (and more importantly, one they could easily control).

Whoever sold a NJ scam doctor's Midwestern viewership demographics to the RNC needs to be flogged.

Yeah well I think the powers that be went with Oz because of name recognition like Trump had but forgot:

He's thoroughly unlikable and has none of the charisma of Trump

I feel bad that the people of Pennsylvania have been failed so spectacularly by either party

They did have other people running. Issue is everyone only knows (D) or (R) and refuses to research the others.

The salt I like from the Pennsylvania election is everyone mad at the libertarians not voting (R) because not voting for the two party system playing hot potato with the country while running things into the shitter together is throwing away your vote. Libertarians and anyone else politically still in the 90's are not fans of out of state niggers running for their office's, They don't have a platform large enough to be loyal to the party no matter who yet( if ever)

One of the Democrat party's national messages was "shut up plebs we will show pornography to your children in school and teach them how to have sex and probably have sex with them too and you will have no say in the matter and will subsidize it all with your taxes."

Again, you're not fooling anyone. An overlay map of sex offenders on the registry and Democrat voting blocs would line up much too cleanly for me to listen to what any groomer loving leftoid has to say on the matter.
this is just deflection. Dems aren't the ones forcing kids to have kids

Your problem is that you're applying common sense and sensibility here, the fact that inflation of all things wasn't enough to shake the status quo is actually frightening

But criminal justice reform started with Trump when Ivanka and Kim Kardashian sobbed to him about needing reform. Trump put more effort into getting that bill passed than anything meaningful on immigration. Also there was no plan to address crime. No plans to address inflation which again started with policies that began with Trump.

The common thread here is that Republicans had no plan whatsoever.

Dr Oz was a Trump guy. Trump liked that he was on TV and was somewhat of a COVID vaccine skeptic. That’s the only credentials needed for Trump and apparently enough of his base for Oz to win the primary.

I try to be the least dogmatic as possible when it comes to politics, in a time of growing dogma. Part of that is acknowledging that there are geriatric shitstains on both sides. People who decry mcconnell and graham love to forget about pelosi and Feinstein and vice versa. People have a short memory, and tend to look away at a politician's self interest gains (in respect to their party lines) more than any point in history. I.E Pelosi using her position to become a stock trading millionaire and Sen. Ron Johnson raking in millions from his super pac being bloated by Richard Uileen. The list is perpetual.

The long story short is none of these people listed will ever be voted out. Unfortunately "forced out" holds no real weight outside of illegal means (which people wont do). You know it as much as I do, we have to wait for these prune juice drinking fools to run out of time, and then it's up to voters to not fuck it up again, and vote people who actually represent the people and not special interests. Lol like that's going to happen...

I'm saying that those two issues could've been a solid plan for Republicans to tackle for their voter base. Now, it seems that Republicans are split between MAGA and preserving their seats. As you said, it's hard to figure out their plan.

If something happens to Trump and DeSantis does not run I can actually see Youngkin take a shot at it. Youngkin can't run for re-election again (at least not back to back) as VA Governor and his term will be up in 2025.

Which might just work out since he ran on cultural issues just as much as Trump and DeSantis but came off more disarming/approachable to the suburban crowds.
