New York continued counting through the night and Zeldin got to within 5 points of Hochul. For a state that typically votes D+15 to D+20 in governor's elections this pleases me as I've said before. It's worth noting that Zeldin's pretty successful campaign did not receive any significant funding from the national GOP and was funded mainly by billionaire Ronald Lauder. Lauder's strategy and investments (including bankrolling a successful lawsuit against Hochul's gerrymander) has been going so well lately that it's got Democrats worrying that it could alter the trajectory of elections for the forseeable future:

Aside from that, House races in NY are also going well. Last night it looked like the Republican in my (tossup) district was going to lose but he's notched out a modest lead now. Sean Patrick Maloney (the head of the DCCC) lost his election, the Dems lost every competitive House race in NY except for NY-18.
