Update as of 10:45am EST:

Ron Johnson (R) appears to have won Wisconsin
Laxalt (R) is hanging on in Nevada with only 77% of the vote in.
Arizona is only reporting 66% of the vote with Kelly leading (seriously, wtf why does this state always have election issues?)
Warnok (D) has yet to break the 50% threshold meaning the election will go to a runoff which helps H. Walker (R)

Whats the summary on R/D wins/losses?
Gained 6 in the house overall, still about 40 seats uncalled, but looking like it's gonna be at best 224 R 211 D. GA is likely a run off, Murkowski will probably pull through after Democrat Ranked votes get counted, and there may be flipped senate seats in NV and AZ, bit too early too call. NV is probably more likely to flip than AZ

All you guys complaining about GOP candidates, where were you guys a year before the primaries?

Basically all statewide primaries, and indeed elections in general need to have campaigns with people and money getting shit done a year out. You can't do what Allen West did here in Texas and expect better results. West, the Chair of the Texas GOP tried to hop in and primary Abbot at the last minute. Literally 2 months before the primary. Don Huffines only started 5 months out. Chad Prather, though I love him for fighting the lockdowns, basically was running a campaign in name only.

Trump endorses candidates 6 months out, because the candidates who have the money, people, and connection to actually run a strong campaign have already laid the groundwork to have a chance of winning said primary. Blake Masters and Kari Lake started their campaign a year before the primary. Oz started early. Abbot started really early. This a trend you will see among both victorious primary candidates and Trump endorsements.

Of those who meet the above, the Trump team then picks someone who they think most aligns with Trump.

So cry and piss and moan about the candidates all you want, but unless a qualified candidate is cajoled to run in your primary early, and your activist, and some sort of paymaster shows up. You aren't going anywhere. You don't have to like it, I don't like it, but that is how the game works. Beat it or break it.

Honestly Ron Johnson beating that black supremacist nutbag Mandella Barnes just makes my day.

I didn't want to say anything because I have a shit habit of jinxing things, but for real the ideal outcome here was a very thin loss so that they're still in control when that motherfucker of a time bomb goes off. A landslide victory would've been disastrous and everyone hoping for it/lamenting the lack of its appearance, apparently lost the plot on that one.

I legit think they didn't cheat this one much if at all, and while they might've wanted to protect some seats for obvious PR reasons I don't think much was necessary on their part, as I don't think for a second that the people who run the DNC are unaware of how bad this'll be for whoever's in charge of Congress regardless of who's sitting (napping) in the Oval Office.
This is the right take. The best thing is not to play.

If the right won big then this the media narrative:
30% inflation? Republicans fault
Crime increase? Republicans fault
WW3? Republicans fault.

There is no political solution. All you can do is fortify your state so that you have the right leadership for when the cold civil war goes hot or Russia nukes the big hives inshallah.

I'm sure your mother must be proud of you.
I will go a step farther. I believe that people that pay a net positive in taxes should have their votes matter more.

Those that get more money back from the government than they pay in taxes should have their votes counted at 3/5 of a regular vote.

The whole 'candidates were bad' argument is stupid. Oz was not a bad candidate compared to his competition and judging by the governors race, it wouldn't have mattered. The candidates didn't decide the election in PA. I said pages back that focusing on PA was dumb and I was proven right.

GOPe operatives and associated grifters are completely blaming Trump as predicted. Won't mention McConnell pulling funding from swing states to back his friends or Lindsey Graham attempting to throw the election by suggesting a nationwide abortion ban though. The takeaway from Florida isn't the importance of securing elections or actually doing the things you campaigned on, its Trump bad DeSantis good.

If it goes into overtime, the Democrats win. That's why their new strategy is to push it into overtime.

That's also why the founding fathers explicitly forbid the vote going into overtime.

No sane nation engages in that kind of retardation, unless they just want to tell the opposition to fuck off.

For all of these liberals and progtards that idealize Western Europe and the Nordic nations, they don't want the election laws.

Local politics > primaries > general anyhow. People think too much on the large scale not realizing your city/town and county officials matter as well.

They should learn how to do a youtube (Rumble in this case Susan will most definitely delete the videos) and make awkward videos on why you should vote for them with the camera at an angle where you can see their nose hairs instead of hiring video editing firms.

NOOOO You don't understand I must impose my will on some goober in Alaska (munches on bug paste)

MAGA salt is more bitter than DNC cope. Pick better candidates.
Coming from someone begging for asspats yesterday because you “made sure your voice was heard” by voting? Your cope and salt is the tastiest of all. It’s subtle, but trust me, it shows.

So California passed a constitutional amendment codifying the right to abortion. There’s a difference between your state being co-opted by radical communists and actually having communism in the constitution. I don’t think I can live here anymore.
EVERY state that voted on abortion last night voted in favor of abortion rights. Even Kentucky. This is why Republicans lost
