Has anyone else seen the commercial for Apeture? When watching hockey on ESPN+ they play this fucking commercial over and over again. Its an HIV PrEP aka shot they get every other month to prevent HIV. As one would assume, the commercial mostly features gay men cruising, dancing, chatting, and kissing. It shows a man and woman presumably going on a date. Then bam, two trannies. They are dressed in somewhat normal dresses. One of them walks up to the camera to say a line in standard gay man trying to sound like a woman voice. Then later that same tranny is shown in a women's bathroom borrowing lipstick from an actual woman.

There is a footnote at one point in the commercial that says that the company did a long term study on this medication on cisgendered men and women and transwomen. No mention of transmen. Did the drug makers know that gay men don't actually sleep with TIFs or did they just not care? I am suprised they aren't being called transphobic for excluding them..oh wait no I'm not. No one cares about TIFs unless they are pregnant.

IMO, it's just what happens when a rich celebrity brings their financial resources to bear on an unsolvable problem. Some stylist went, if we cut your hair just so it'll look like you have sideburns, and if we use a flat foundation your chubby cheeks won't be so well defined, etc. etc. I don't think she's on Testosterone though and I think surgery would have had a better more obvious impact.

Maybe they're jaw implants. She probably got them when she got her fake abs. At the very least you can get fillers to sharpen your jawline.

Something I've found odd about the pronoun bullshit is that it's always half-assed in the weirdest way using only two of them. Pronoun sets have 3-4 (if you count possessive), not two. "He/him"? Come now, are we committed to this shit or aren't we? Pick one: tell me "he" and every single English-speaking person can immediately suss out the remaining ones because pronouns are a closed class of words that we're all intimately familiar with, or you're going whole-hog with the playacting that neopronouns are just as hekkin' valid as any normal ones, and you need to sell me the ridiculous idea that I don't already know all of them. Where's your reflexive pronoun, huh? I couldn't possibly know it's "himself". You need to tell me, otherwise I might guess the wrong one! Or are "hers" and "herself" dirty lies created by genderists and Joe Rogan?

My autistic sneering at it aside, this goofy terminally online trend of only providing the subject and object form of a pronoun set is yet more proof that this nonsense is practiced by lazy people who don't actually give a shit about the words themselves (see, there's that reflexive pronoun you always fail to list!); the care here is about strongarming someone else's language.

I think the convention came because the phrase "I use 'he' pronouns" sounds even worse; putting the slash makes it easier to parse as a data set, not a sudden confusing turn in the middle of a sentence.

Of course, it would be comparatively more sane to say "I use male pronouns," but I'm sure there's a whole discourse about assuming that he/him are male.

And if someone wants to be called "he" and "they," that person should say "he/him and they/them," or I guess "he/them" if they want to keep the original convention.

The one silver lining is that this is so terminally online that future linguists will have a comparatively easy time tracking the mutation of popular use.

I've never seen FFS results that are even close to worth the price the troon (or insurance) pays. At best, some of the sharper corners are smoothed out a bit, but any FFS post op pics I've seen just look almost exactly like the before picture. It's almost like FFS is just a scam.

It's clear that she's afraid of becoming an older woman in an environment where older women are not ideal. Actresses have a shorter career than actors because they have a much higher standard of beauty and youthfulness.
