I keep imagining them going "THIS IS NOT MY FETSH! THIS IS SO NOT MY FETISH!" every time these pictures happen. In reality, I can only assume it's the artist's way of showing the characters being surprised/horrified at their transformations and shit. Unaware that it's just as horrifying to any sane individual as it is to the victims.

I'm not entirely sure if the images that seem to be a part of some longer weird ass webcomic thing are more freaky out of context or in context. I'm guessing it's likely the latter due to the fact someone went through a lot of time and effort to make fucking feature length comics about this sort of shit, and we're only seeing about a quarter of the full madness.
Of course, some users in this thread posted a few of those comics in their entirety, which also probably explains why my opinion is leaning that way.
