I'm actually of the same view point on the uni party shit. Republicans just use lube when they fuck us, so I find them relatively preferable to the dems. It's one evil with two heads. So long as they control both options and you accept that, then they can always move you in the direction they want just by holding up a worse choice next to it.
The chief purpose of the Republican party in the USA is to prevent the arising of an actual Right Wing / Nationalist party. There really are only two options. (1) Build up a third party over as many elections as it takes to flip to the tipping point of people voting for it not being a "wasted vote" or (2) stage a coup within the Republican party and wrest control of it from the uniparty. That's what Trump did. Or at least came closer to doing than anybody else has.
I mean there's a 3rd option but it involves an actual civil war.
I do actually respect people voting a third party. They are at least trying. Now if efforts at 1 undermine efforts at 2 that's a problem. But something has to be done than an endlessly repeating cycle of being presented with two puppets and meekly choosing the one with the smaller knife in its hands.
I think there's something to be said for the idea of them existing as sort of a looming threat if the mainline party gets too out of line with some ideas.Third parties are a useful trap to keep people who are bad at statistics from having a meaningful voice. If we were smart, we'd make more of them targeted at peeling off equity socialists (except at least "independents" are sufficiently bought in to caucus with the party that actually owns them)
"See how money is worth nothing and you will starve if you do not make yourself useful by performing brutal manual labor? How whining and making a scene about your "rights" will straight up get you shot? How you will develop cataracts and cancer from the damage to the atmosphere? How long-eradicated diseases like smallpox and cholera will come roaring back? How future generations (if any) will be illiterate retards who can't even speak coherent language, due to reduced oxygen and a lack of an education system?"Make them watch The Day After, Testament, and for the grand finale, Threads. I mean tie them down to a chair, pry open their eyes, Clockwork Orange style. "See that? See how that mother is cradling her child who's bleeding from the anus? See how she's screaming into the sky, cursing whoever pushed the button, in front of a pile of burning bodies? See how that other mother's baby is burnt? See how that teenager gave birth to a stillborn mutant? See how they're operating on bodies without anesthetic? THAT is what nuclear war will be like, not your goyslop vidya fantasies."
Its a coordinated effort to try to get rid of Trump and blame it on him.....when if there are any failures its on the two McBitches.this is what gets me
up until like, a week and a half ago this was about what was expected, then people apparently misread "oh wow Oz and Zeldin are only down by the margin of error how crazy is that" to be "ELEVATOR FROM THE SHINING, BITCHES"
And then you’ll probably find people who’ll say “it’ll be worth it because nobody will give a shit about that bitch complaining over folks not having their pronouns listed!”"See how money is worth nothing and you will starve if you do not make yourself useful by performing brutal manual labor? How whining and making a scene about your "rights" will straight up get you shot? How you will develop cataracts and cancer from the damage to the atmosphere? How long-eradicated diseases like smallpox and cholera will come roaring back? How future generations (if any) will be illiterate retards who can't even speak coherent language, due to reduced oxygen and a lack of an education system?"
And then you have folks rooting for Russia because they feel the nukes will cause the world to not bend to the whims of the hedonistic West and the United States and it’s foreign policy will finally move past the year 2003.Its all the ones I talk to here in my state care about. They pin for WWIII and want to nuke Russia because "that's how we'll end fascism once and for all". They have no idea what they are asking for.
I’ll say this; some men want to watch the world burn. Others won’t care about the fire, just the chance to rule over the ashes.Make them watch The Day After, Testament, and for the grand finale, Threads.
Isn’t that what most MAGA folks actually want these days?I think I brought it up around lunch yesterday. He’ll gladly have the GOP go the way of the Whigs so long as he’s the one at the head when it dies.
Right now there's three plausible outcomes really. Not following the election too closely, but this doesn't look that terrible. The GOP might take the house and get a tie in the senate and if that happens then at least the democrats will be far less capable of getting what they want. That wouldn't be a big win, but I guess that would be a slight improvement over the status quo and I was just expecting things to either stay the same or get worse.
Honestly I think things will stay largely the same, or leave a result that few people are happy with. Not following the election too closely, but this doesn't look that terrible. Why do you think the DNC worked so hard at turning the party that ran Ralph Nader as a spoiler into a feckless caricature as the party of crystal-fondling hippie schizoids that fails to get on the ballot in states where it actually matters?Third parties are a useful trap to keep people who are bad at statistics from having a meaningful voice. If we were smart, we'd make more of them targeted at peeling off equity socialists (except at least "independents" are sufficiently bought in to caucus with the party that actually owns them)
You don't need movies, just force them to listen to accounts and see the victims of IRL criticality accidents. particularly images of Hisashi Ouchi, who was forcibly kept alive in excruciating pain for months due to government and legal bullshit.Make them watch The Day After, Testament, and for the grand finale, Threads. I mean tie them down to a chair, pry open their eyes, Clockwork Orange style. "See that? See how that mother is cradling her child who's bleeding from the anus? No. They want to hollow out the party and make something of it because Trump showed them that there was more that could be done other than McConnell’s retarded little power games, war profiteering, and the Reaganite’s inane give them the means to obliterate everything you care about and call it a moral victory horseshit.Isn’t that what most MAGA folks actually want these days?
just like little jimmy is winning until dad grabs the belt. The right is so far behind the left in terms of organizational capacity and institutional support that for all intents and purposes, the cold civil war is over, and the left has won. The right needs to regroup starting from the mindset of underground resistance, with the understanding that it will likely take several generations for the tables to turn.
just like little jimmy is winning until dad grabs the belt.
the problem is, there is no "winning". there is no leftist utopia (or fourth reich for that matter).
look at it this way, the vast majority doesn't really care about politics. why? because it doesn't really matter to them. left, right, uniparty, in a saner world it's still all the same in the end. the assumption is that everyone involved has a vested self-interest to keep the wheel spinning somewhere in the middle - the establishment so it can grift, the plebs to consoom etc.
however, any "win" in that scenario is knocking over the wheel, and then what? it doesn't matter from which direction the wheel is knocked over, down is down.
and even if they "win" for a moment, it's simply not sustainable. you can see it already where mediocrity gets promoted for the sake for "diversity, inclusion, equity", what do you expect to happen? same way nazi germany would have inevitably imploded (heritage over merit). same way russia did (party over merit), asf.
the obvious example is weimar, which was winning really hard too - till they didn't.
honestly, I blame historians for that shit, since they can't stop jerking themselves off over HITLER: RISE OF EVIL, putting it like he was grima wormtongue (or whoever the harry potter equivalent is for libtards), when in reality people VOTED for him. in a DEMOCRACY. weimar was a FEDERAL REPUBLIC (sound familiar?). I get it, politics are boring, foreign ones even more so, it's simply much easier to whine about MUH NAZIS than ask grandma - if you're old enough to have one who lived back then - why she did it. and then she's gonna tell you shit got so bad that they were ok with anyone promise to fix it. and he did fix it (for a while), even if it meant the nice jewish family next door gets picked up at 4am.
TLDR: there doesn't need to be a (cold) civil war, history is circular anyway.
It’s always interesting how simple things seem when they’re typed out like this.just like little jimmy is winning until dad grabs the belt.

I find that this quote here perfectly describes Libertarians actuallyThey're happy to complain all fucking day but they squander every opportunity they've ever been given to change things. Outsiders have no faith in you.
After seeing this speech, I kinda see the Trump Hitler comparisons now. Although I'm sure this is not how they were intended.View attachment 3841914
It's the premise of Er ist wieder da, which was funny as hell, and not just because we all know what would happen if he came back and tailored himself to the 21st century right, we all know why it happened in the first place.
NOT this someone! But yes, I'm sick of this "not knowing how to count a fucking vote" bullshit every major election here in AZ!Someone in Phoenix must really not want Kari to be governor. That or this process is more than just “cast vote, make sure everything is done correctly, report to relevant authorities”. Hell, people were calling on the National Guard to take over in 2020.
By Republicans, they mean Trump. The GOP needs a massive restructuring on its core values for the American people. Trump is not good enough.Libertarians don't owe Republicans shit, especially not their vote. If you think they do, you can go on seething forever because you're too stupid to absorb voters from a party with ideals that overlap your own. I keep hearing that R's are supposed to be the party of liberty and deregulation but that rarely ever plays out when they're handed power. Get your own house in order before blaming everyone else for your own dog shit politicians not being able to get more votes than literal dead people. They're happy to complain all fucking day but they squander every opportunity they've ever been given to change things. Outsiders have no faith in you.
He's admitted to studying his speeches, something Hitler himself learned by observing others. That's a good clip from his earlier days because you can see who he appealed to, and why, confirming what Germans who were alive under the NSDAP told me. It always began with "You can't understand what it like to live during Weimar,,,and then..." Always. After seeing this speech, I kinda see the Trump Hitler comparisons now. Although I'm sure this is not how they were intended.
