Maybe one of his higher ups at Honeycomb told him it was starting to get embarrassing when potential clients and investors were raising concerns that their field CTO and one of the public faces of the company was on some autistic and very weird crusade, annoying Tier 1 providers and others in an attempt to break the Internet, and people were starting to ask what "consent accidents" were?Gong Gong trying to purge any public associations with battling KF makes perfect sense at this point. It marrs his public reputation to be known as the troon who failed to kill KF despite being a self-proclaimed tech-wizard. He got defeated by a rotund baby-faced jobless weeb named Joshy who lives in his momshousebasement.
How embarrassing for a so-called "CTO" with "connections."
I'm guessing his flood of @'s to various industry colleagues and VPs (trying to get them to hound their carriers/bandwidth vendors) went largely ignored by his targets, or perhaps he even got a "why are you doing this?" back, and he realized he was putting his professional reputation in danger (what's left of it anyway).
Probably not, looking at the employees I don't think they'd care.
