the problem is, there is no "winning". there is no leftist utopia (or fourth reich for that matter).
look at it this way, the vast majority doesn't really care about politics. why? because it doesn't really matter to them. left, right, uniparty, in a saner world it's still all the same in the end. the assumption is that everyone involved has a vested self-interest to keep the wheel spinning somewhere in the middle - the establishment so it can grift, the plebs to consoom etc.
however, any "win" in that scenario is knocking over the wheel, and then what? it doesn't matter from which direction the wheel is knocked over, down is down.

and even if they "win" for a moment, it's simply not sustainable. you can see it already where mediocrity gets promoted for the sake for "diversity, inclusion, equity", what do you expect to happen? same way nazi germany would have inevitably imploded (heritage over merit). same way russia did (party over merit), asf.

the obvious example is weimar, which was winning really hard too - till they didn't.
honestly, I blame historians for that shit, since they can't stop jerking themselves off over HITLER: RISE OF EVIL, putting it like he was grima wormtongue (or whoever the harry potter equivalent is for libtards), when in reality people VOTED for him. in a DEMOCRACY. weimar was a FEDERAL REPUBLIC (sound familiar?). Ayup, this is pretty much in line with my thoughts. Except I’ll add on an additional corollary: history is circular, and there’s absolutely nothing that can be done to change that. Depending on the specific circumstances surrounding the time, each cycle of prosperity may be longer or shorter, but it’ll eventually all go back to the same old adage; hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times.

Now, ideally the pendulum will swing back before shit really has the chance to hit the fan (and I would argue that this IS happening, even if it may not seem like it in-the-moment*), but even if they steal a total victory, there will be no hundred-year progressive reign of debauchery - just a few turbulent decades of them running the country into the ground before being deposed by a new generation of strong men who have never lived the comfortable life of the Pax Americana.

*Physics footnote: when a pendulum gets near the apex of its swing, there is a period of deceleration where its absolute position is still moving in the same direction, but its rate of movement is decreasing. Just because things still look like they’re getting crazier doesn’t mean the pendulum isn’t going to swing back - it just means we have yet to hit the inflection point of peak insanity. In my opinion, that inflection point is going to be the obviously oncoming global depression, which will probably hit before Biden’s term is over.

Desantis can end it tonight with a statement that says "Trump needs to chill out, I'm not running" or "Stupid Orange Man with tiny hands I'm going to beat you so Ben Shapiro will think I'm epic!"

In this thread or the happening election thread someone said maybe Trump asked Ron to be his VP and he declined, which is probably another issue Trump has. It's the political equivalent of telling a kid I can give you a candy now or you can just wait 30 minutes and I'll give you 3 candies.

The Wisconsin legislature can't do much with the dem governor in office. The GOP wanted a veto proof super majority but didn't manage to get it. They wanted to push through new legislation making restrictions to mail-in votes and such but that got vetoed by the governor.

They have been doing this since 2016 and this is always how he reacts. This is why the Trump base loves him; he speaks like a real person and not a politician.
