So many winnable house seats and senate seats falling to the wayside because McConnell wanted to pump millions into that cunt Lisa Murkowski and to stop MAGA Republicans. Nevada 03 the Democrat incumbent is holing on for dear life by just under 5k votes, Nevada a state that has started seeing a drift back to Republicans but not a dime spent to help. You see the amount of spending Democrats had and it was 3-5 times more than Republicans in some races, a few were double digits.
Oh course he did. McConnell won't come out and outright say it but he is quite happy with Biden and the Democrat's being in charge just like he was with Obama. The Democrats got us involved in another endless war which means more money to the military industrial complex which also means more money in McConnell's pocket. At this point the Democrats and Republicans should just form themselves into one party and call themselves the Uni-Party. I mean they already are. Might as well just make it official.

Desantis v Trump has been a big topic on the local Florida stuff, like "hosts calling in to other hosts shows" levels of a hot topic

Desantis is def cashing checks from some shady fucks but if he's listening or just taking their money seems to be the question.
Seems Desantis hasn't really said much of anything against Trump still?
For me it's a coinflip on the guy, but I wouldn't put him ahead of Trump. Mainly, if he's as smart and able to read the breeze as he seems, it's possible he could just side with Trump and roll with the populism shift. After all, the guy isn't as old as the people he'd likely be beholden to and if he fucks them over, there's a decent chance the people pissed at him won't even be alive by 2028.

I love how zoomers vote for everything but important issues. “I may not be able to afford to live somewhere without having 3 roommates in a tiny apartment or have enough food to eat but I can get an abortion!”
They're mostly still living with their parents or in college. Depending on where you draw the line the oldest zoomers are 23 to 25 and young adults being progressive retards is normal. You can't care about the economy if you've never had to pay bills.

He can't say anything. I don't mean that as a threat. Trump is a master of crafting a narrative & selling people on that narrative. If you try to fight the guy you end up looking like Hillary or Jeb. Conversely regardless of how much of the fraud you believe in, Biden won by refusing to engage Trump at all until he was forced to (the debates.) This didn't work for Cruz but nobody who mattered wanted to signal-boost Cruz in the first place. If you don't play Trump's game & let the press, media, etc. swarm him you may get by him unscathed.

There's also the fact that DeSantis forces Democrats to keep watching Florida for an opening the longer he puts off any sort of announcement. That benefits him, his party, Florida & the entire country for reasons I probably don't have to explain. I also believe two major Republican stars have probably spoken privately and Trump is willing to play the role of heel (god knows everyone covering him is eager to help him there) to Desantis' babyface.

These outbursts coming from Trump and being aimed at DeSantis and Youngkin was jarring at first to me too, but at the same time, this is just Trump's unpredictability at play. The man is all about kayfabe when it comes to MSM and social media.

The best case scenario for all parties involved would still be a Trump 2024 ticket, and it would be a waste of potential to bring DeSantis up to the plate so early. Not to mention him leaving Florida creates a big power vacuum that could easily be filled by a controllable RINO. No bueno for all involved. Trump in 2024, DeSantis in 2028 after he's had more time to boost Florida as a state power, then I suppose Youngkin could follow not long after if he does an equally good job of turning Virginia more MAGA. Just my analysis of things at the end of the day; we're still two years out from the fireworks.

Oh yeah, and I should probably remind everyone who didn't notice the latest news on Trump: November 15th. Announcement being made at Mar-A-Lago. Fill in the blanks.

I’d prefer Kari Lake after Desantis or in place of Desantis in 2028 assuming she wins the governors election. She’s a more likeable version of Donald Trump and would get tons of support from women. If there’s one thing we learned from this election it’s that women vote for stupid shit and “making history” probably will work on them.

Shit, they'll kill Biden just to avoid the GOP getting the first woman President if they think that far ahead.

Women hate other women, especially when they're hotter. Women vote for Hair Boy Trudeau.

Really crazy take of mine, but it involves Lake being "fortified" out of governorship of Arizona: Plan B: It's not Trump that runs in 2024 for president, but Lake. Trump would instead be her VP or in some way positioned very close to synergize with her campaign and potential presidency. That would be the wild card of wildest cards aimed at whomever the Democrats try to run in response. /ISPOILER]

Those games simply do not work with the left. She'll always have an asterisk beside her name and they'll elect the 'real' first female president. Everyone who doesn't think exactly like them is a nazi and isn't given acknowledgment.

I brought this up in another thread, but whenever I hear people scoff at the notion that electronic voting machines might not be 100% tamper-proof and infallible, I point out that there's an annual hacker convention that always has a section entirely dedicated to hacking voting machines. I can't be assed to link a video, but just searching "DEFCON voting machines" on YouTube should suffice.

I don't know if they've done this in other states, but when I voted they have these new ones that are electronic but record your vote on a paper and makes you look at it to confirm before submitting your vote. You navigate the menus and select your votes with buttons instead of a touchscreen. I don't know exactly how they're tallied up or what the names of these things are, but I feel marginally more comfortable with them than the fully-electronic ones.

Honestly, I'd wish we'd just go back to paper ballots altogether. Every passing year I begin to hate technology more and more.

Don't care. I don't trust literal black boxes to which we're expected to entrust our elections, simple as.
