I am rather sick of him being on the rag about not getting rumble cash and being pissy at the viewers. He forgot that people watch streams to escape their shitty day. If they wanted to be yelled at they'd talk to their wives or girlfriends.

Of course he's upset his ego got rocked this week lmao. Getting investigated, election stream fell flat, and the big culprit was Rumble seeming getting cold on that exclusivity deal.

Didn't catch that. I didn't bother with the election stream because my internet was acting up and who wants to watch a replay of that.
He's probably just on edge because he's saw a short drop over that stream not doing well and the Rumble deal maybe falling though. He's trucking along very well right now, but the ground is a bit shakey. Add in that he thinks Rumble is shadowbanning him from the leaderboard (I think he's reading it wrong... he's always on the top 5 for me) and the comment censoring and it might just be another YouTube.

If they turn Rumble into YouTube they're fucking themselves by dropping their only competitive advantage. I don't know why they would. It's also interesting to note that "penis" is censored, but "vagina" is not. Blatant sexism.

As shitty as YouTube is, every other substitute is even worse, at least in terms of delivery, reliability, UI, etc. So all they really have to sell is content too spicy for YT.

I only started listening tonight within the past half hour, but I find Nick and the gang's political pessimism to be really grating when they pontificate about how freedom from lockdowns and stopping woke indoctrination in schools are winning issues that Republicans should platform, but then appear to harbor some sort of hatred for DeSantis.

The whole freedom discussion and nudist beaches is why I hate libertarianism. If freedom is eating ass on a nudist beach, what makes it any different from hedonism? I believe freedom can be understood in two ways: Constructive Freedom where the purpose is to build, improve, and self actualize. And Deconstructive (so called) Freedom, where it's more about animalistic debasement and being controlled by vices. My issue is that when one places freedom as the ultimate principle without such a distinction, we start getting things like the American Libertarian party.

Rumble did go public recently so I'm not confident in them, I guess Nick is a good way to see when to jump ship

The reason people are upset with DeSantis is that the guy basically is a case study in trying to recreate Trump. Yes, he's great for Florida, but that isn't good enough, cause the GOPe and RINOs want to create an easily controllable imitation Trump that can play ball but keep the MAGA movement on a leash a-la the Tea Party while keeping their energy, support, and money.

They're blatantly trying to NeverTrump about this which is why a good chunk of the party base -- remember, despite memes and TDS and NeverTrump GOPe, Trump's support is what, in the 70s to 90s amongst the GOP base? -- are chaffing at this. Combine this with the fact that the GOPe seemed to have sacrificed several winnable races this year in lieu of making sure MAGA populists didn't win -- most notably taking $9 from Blake Masters and sending it to the Alaska race, where a RINO was facing a MAGA primary challenger -- and you get a brewing problem.

So DeSantis is rapidly becoming the face of the GOPe's efforts to "close enough" the Trump base into submission while getting rid of the actual Trump for what amounts to controlled opposition, all while tut-tut-tutting the Populists into Tea-Party "yes nothing ever gets better but at least you have a voice we elites can safely ignore" shit.

At the same time, all say, Oz had to do was come out and go "Lockdowns made no sense, they were wrong, and if you vote for me we won't do them again." But instead what they said after Fetterman had his meltdown on the debate stage was... nothing. Both the GOP and DNC seem to be running on a theme of "hey vote against the other party" and that works for the DNC because they have the Progressive/DSA/socialist nutbar wing openly salavating at having Pelosi et all deposed and a communist uprising declared, while the GOP is doing it's damnedest to not even allow their version -- MAGA -- to even speak in public.
