Bayonetta 3 - What Moon themed song they gonna pick this time

You all know that all this is going to amount to is Kamiya blocking fucking everyone (no changes here), Bayonetta 3 selling even more then before (I'm buying) and Taylor being blacklisted by the entire Japanese entertainment industry, which is a death sentence for a voice actress.
From what I've seen most of the internet (fuck you Jersh) thinks that this as a pretty obvious attempt to boost her profile in the industry, but instead its most likely gonna kill it.

Reminder that this is the guy who she is trying to go after.
The man gives no shits and I'm just waiting for him to just fly off the handle and dump all of the info regarding her behind the scenes
FUCKING CALLED IT NIGGERS

So what are everyone’s preferred setups so far? I seem to be using the guns, the wand, or alruna in the first slot and G-Pillar in the 2nd. The other 2 heavy weapons feel awkward for me and it has probably the best special attacks in the game as is. I have no idea what accessories I like other than moon, especially now that eternal testamony doesn’t do what it used to.

The problem I found with the chainsaw is that its kick attacks move you quite a bit and that can be a huge issue with how mobile some of the enemies can be.
I also really dislike its "gunfire" option it seems to take too long just to fire off a weak round.

Also does anybody find Viola's parry really wonky? It seems to work better for me if I'm just button mashing.

Thinking about it that’s exactly what’s wrong with the chainsaw. Not only are there a lot of really mobile enemies, but a lot of the arenas are gigantic to make it worse on the thing. The Gommorah weapon is faster and more mobile, the anchor outranges it and most everything else but Labolas (I just realized that it’s a Voltron reference today), and both have better special moves insofar as they don’t send flying past the enemy half the time.

I think Viola in general is kinda wonky, though people are still figuring out tech with her. We’re already found out that you can cancel animations with her block more or less how you can with dodges. Press a button, hold down block to cancel the animation, and then hit the next one in the string to proceed. Do not hold down the attack though. Infernal communicator and the durga trinket also seem to be pretty good on her.

To finish off my sperging, here’s a potential cope video that makes the ending less weird, and lets
Lets everyone still be around in some form or another.

The timing doesn't seem synced up to the animation. It feels like it is a little before she pulls up her sword, or something. My biggest issue is witch time seems ludicrously inconsistent for her.

I don't buy for a second that they'll commit to actually killing off Luka and Bayo. She'll show up in 4 as the queen of hell or something, you might even fight your way out while playing as her.

Anyone have tips for the segment of the Frnace level where you’re fighting the clock tower on the bat? I cannot get a good score in this.

I seriously doubt she was offered 4 grand. She probably demanded 100k or something and was told no so she decided to throw a tantrum. But even if she WAS offered 4 grand, she's getting 4 grand for maybe 5 days of recording lines at a sound booth in her own home. That's not exactly an Indonesian child getting paid 4 cents a day to stich together soccer balls with their knurled fingers

I was gonna just pirate but now I'm going to buy it just bc fuck this delusional British cunt
Late to the party but since Helena Taylor doesn't have that many credits to her name she would have been content with the pay and used Bayonetta 3 to get herself even more jobs. And even if she disagreed with the pay and left because of it she could have simply chosen to say she had disagreements with Platinum without going into details and then wish the players the best. That would have been a good way for her to say why she left and keep some if not most of the goodwill of the fans, but instead she had to be a self-rigtheous greedy cunt that has ruined her own career.

Played it, beat it, and enjoyed it.
It's Bayonetta, and it's Kamiya. So it's exactly what I expected.

The most fun thing about Bayonetta as a whole is everyone projecting their lesbian fantasies of her and Jeanne only for this game to come out of left field and canonically make her straight as fuck. The sperging online is hilarious.

She probably

Yeah, she ruined her own relationship with platinum because of her retarded greed so she tried the gambit of spinning herself into the victim to up her profile. Instead she's probably gotten herself marked as bad to work with. Nothing of value was lost. She was getting the equivalent of like 1000 dollars an hour given actual session time, the people bitching are retards who don't understand how gig work works. You're not gonna be a voice actor on retainer unless you're Charles Martinet or the movie voiceover guy or something like that, so a "regular salary" isn't a thing

Finally got to start playing yesterday, very fun so far. Jennifer Hale is a pretty good Bayonetta but she can't surpass Hellena, also whenever she grunts all I hear is Commander Shepard. I'm admittedly not a huge fan of the demon-controlling segments because of how slow and clunky they feel but overall I'm enjoying it.

I forgot how goddamn insane the Rodin fights are. Does anyome have any tips for this one? I’m finding that the most reliable source of damage is getting off a Clock Tower punch input in after triggering witch time, similarly you can do this with Kraken, but they take up so much room and are so frenetic that his animations are masked.

Late, but:
Game journos are mad because
SPOILER: Bayonetta is confirmed straight in Bayo 3 and shares a kiss with Luka at the end of the game. Viola is their daughter.
...much to the surprise of people who never played Bayonetta 1.
For extra emphasis of how obvious this was:

This journalist is so isolated from normal society that she can't wrap her head around straight men being attracted to sexy naked women. Like, that's what fucking makes straight guys, straight!

Maddy Myers was so wrapped up in her headcanon that she posted this article 2 days before the review:

Remember the days back when gaming journalists lambasted Bayonetta for feeding into the "male gaze" and being sexist?

It's really funny how post 2015-legbutt pandering brainrot in media ruined the idea that women could be close without fucking each other.

These weirdos also find women acting feminine to be such an alien thing that the closest thing they could associate it with is fucking Drag Queens. They're so detached from normal people that when they see a woman in a dress acting flamboyant, that must mean crossdresser.

As a bonus, here's this ex-Lab Zero dev reading way too deeply into why straight guys would find Bayonetta undressing to be hot.

Your mistake was going on twitter and expecting any grain of a brain.
I'm incredibly underwhelmed with the graphics. Bayonetta 2, on the Wii U, looked much better. This looks like the game engine from No More Heroes.
Also, the camera sucks.
I blame the switch. Nintendo needs to move on from their old ass hardware.

I used the spinny whip things primarily. Pretty fun to use because it gives me God of War vibes.

Finished it last night, I really hate the ending. Not because of the whole spoilery stuff but because it's super anti-climactic and mopey. Just really bizarre choice for a series that was so lighthearted and over the top.
What a lame final villain too if they were intending it to be a surprise or anything they done goofed.
I like a lot of the game but man the last two chapters really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I really warmed up to Viola but I played with the Japanese dub and that voice actress knocked it the fuck out of the park. Shame her gameplay is so weird and not very fun compared to Bayonetta and Jean.

Anyway I could go on and on but I'll sperg some other time my opinion is the first game is still the best one, three and two both have big problems but are still a fun ride.

What does everyone else think?

Eh, I fine with it. I don't think Bayo is actually dead nor do I think Viola is leading a Bayo game by HERSELF.
I got Rodin down. Is his weapon in 3 as ridiculous as it’s always been or has it been brought in line with everything else?
I haven't gotten his weapon in 2 but one was pretty ridiculous iirc. This feels somewhat toned down but it is still the strongest weapon in the game.
