Bayonetta 3 - What Moon themed song they gonna pick this time

Eh, I fine with it. I don't think Bayo is actually dead nor do I think Viola is leading a Bayo game by HERSELF.

I haven't gotten his weapon in 2 but one was pretty ridiculous iirc. This feels somewhat toned down but it is still the strongest weapon in the game.
Have you found a use for his summon’s special move aside from the heal? You can also make him do the raging demon from his fights by rapidly inputting punch, punch, forward punch+kick. He dies after but it’s a bar of health off of anything big and this is probably the meanest Infinite Climax has ever been.

I think that's the only use for his special move. I haven't use it that much outside of that.

Late, but:
Game journos are mad because
SPOILER: Bayonetta is confirmed straight in Bayo 3 and shares a kiss with Luka at the end of the game. Viola is their daughter.
...much to the surprise of people who never played Bayonetta 1.
For extra emphasis of how obvious this was:

This journalist is so isolated from normal society that she can't wrap her head around straight men being attracted to sexy naked women. Like, that's what fucking makes straight guys, straight!

Maddy Myers was so wrapped up in her headcanon that she posted this article 2 days before the review:

Remember the days back when gaming journalists lambasted Bayonetta for feeding into the "male gaze" and being sexist?

It's really funny how post 2015-legbutt pandering brainrot in media ruined the idea that women could be close without fucking each other.

These weirdos also find women acting feminine to be such an alien thing that the closest thing they could associate it with is fucking Drag Queens. They're so detached from normal people that when they see a woman in a dress acting flamboyant, that must mean crossdresser.

As a bonus, here's this ex-Lab Zero dev reading way too deeply into why straight guys would find Bayonetta undressing to be hot.

It's almost as if multiple people with different sexual proclivities can appreciate the same thing for different reasons! Who'd've thunk?!

Beat it last night. While the ending isn't the worst I've seen, it's admittedly pretty bad. Which sucks because I enjoyed the whole rest of the game in spite of its batshit anime plot. I'd accept a spinoff with Viola, but she can't carry the future of the franchise by herself, no matter what Kamiya does with her. It's just not Bayonetta without Cereza. And if he really insists on bringing Viola back then he'd better change how her witch time works at the very least, because that shit got annoying real quick. I'm clinging to the belief that Rodin's comment about keeping an eye on Viola for Luka implies that he, and hopefully Bayo too, aren't actually dead. Also Luka suddenly being revealed to be a fae werewolf was random as all hell. That came out of nowhere, not him ending up with Bayo.
Overall, fun game, but yeah the ending is ass. Well, First one is the best.

I asked a few pages back about what weapons people liked, but what about loadouts for demons? Mine is usually the Clocktower because witch time on demand is oo good not to use (especially on witch trial 3), something woth utility like Baal or Phantasmarenae or a fire-and-forget one ala. Kraken or Train, and something nimble like Madama, Rodin, or Alraune.

Malphas is probably the weakest summon by far, but I also haven’t used him all that much.

Personally I love Gomorrah, it's practically Godzilla in demon form. Rodin has his raging demon which can make fights a breeze to get through as well as Baal's blood rain. I'm coming around to the Clocktower. As far as Malphas, the only use I came up with is that you can use his tornado to combo with Phantom's attack to make a fire tornado and then summon Gomorrah to do his Godzilla beam.

Haven't started another playthough yet but Phantasmaranae was my main demon (the OP as fuck Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo was my main weapon), and I used Wartrain Gouon quite a bit too. The third was usually either Madama Butterfly or Gomorrah.

Also Kamiya tweeted a couple days ago about the reception of the ending, heavily implying that Bayonetta is not actually dead and will be returning in the fourth game. He also basically told everyone who disliked 3 to fuck off and stay away from the franchise in the future.

It just clicked with me that Viola mechanically is based on DMC4SE Trish. She works a lot better if you work from there and use the 3 different prop shredders she has to lock stuff down and use moon and pulley to patch up defensive holes when the sword or Cheshire is out. I still think there are fights that are absolutely awful with her, like the snail or the bat, but I’m getting better.

Again I have to incline to agree with Kamiya here. I get not liking the ending but to have it ruin the franchise or Bayonetta, the character for you is ridiculous.

Maybe I'm the odd one out here but I am bored of this game. It's just...dull. The enemies don't have the charisma of the Angels and Demons, and there's non-stop shifting to different playstyles, and some of the mechanics (the fucking train summon), are annoying as hell.
I preferred 1 and 2

In my experience the train summon, though the weapon isn’t very good, just takes some practice to be a top tier option. The challenge rooms for it are a crapshoot though.

Nobody is gonna bite your head off for dissent my dude. Well maybe Kamiya might but that would be pretty sweet. I preferred fighting the angels as well and think their designs are great not just artistically but gameplay wise as well, it's nice knowing an enemies health by looking at their model

I think I prefer the angels from one too, but there are things I think stand out for good and ill in each one.

1 is probably the overall cleanest but also has some of the most obnoxious design decisions overall. You’ve got the flaming enemies. You’ve got the worst gimmick levels in the series in route 666, most of Isla Del Sol, and 2/3 of the final level. And you probably have the worst weapon variety when you twig to the fact that most of them are effectively moveset clones of the guns.

With 2 you probably have probably the only semi-coherent story we’ll ever get from these games; but you have obnoxious bosses (the first two Baldur fights and Aesir are cancer because they dodge everything and their attacks don’t always have readable audio or visual clues which fucks up your timing), all the flying fights restrict the hell out of your moveset, umbran climax led to damage nerfs to everything else and made stomp and tetsu pointless, and anything other than fodder will dodge or parry everything outside of witch time or umbran climax which makes the highest difficulty very frustrating.

3 has the best weapons and all but one or 2 of the summons have cool gimmicks that make them interesting to play around with, and the games checkpoints make it so that you don’t have to play the gimmick sections if you don’t feel like it; but the story blows, enemies really needed more personality, and a lot of Viola’s stuff feels incomplete or outright bugged.

The prequel seems like it’ll be neat, though I’m not sure I’d get it at 60. Also, the way Hale pronounces Cheshire is weird.

Guys I want to give this game a shot but I'm paralyzed with fear at the thought of it being infested with woke bullshit. How bad is it over all?

It isn’t really. If anything it’s not considering most of the faggots threw an absolute shitfit when it gets established that
Bayo is straight.

I'm not big on the prequel's artsy style but I'll definitely play it. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to fill in some of the holes regarding the fae's involvement in the story, considering how awfully they handled it in the base game.

It's not.

Not much woke stuff, it's just not a very good game. 2 was the best, just replay that.
