US 2022 Mid-Term Election

It was a bad idea as this election proves, because it accomplished functionally nothing (it already was very hard to get an abortion in the states which banned it) and energized a sizable faction of people that swung at least a few elections against the Republicans. Abortion bans are very unpopular outside of a certain base and the issue was effectively "settled" in that the status quo worked well for both parties. Since a fuckton of Republican candidates have "I'm pro-life" in their bios and pro-life is one of the few things it's obvious the Republican Party stands for, they failed to persuade voters. It is not something the Republicans should have burnt political capital on when there's far worse issues like the economy, inflation, and illegal immigration or for social issues, something more popular like dealing with the indoctrination in schools.

Delegitimizing the corrupt system by calling out election fraud is actually a very good thing, and the powers that be know it hence why it's the single most censored topic in existence right now. Calling people schizo for pointing out these issues is just as ridiculous as when the Soviet Union called people schizo for saying communism wasn't working.
Instead they should spend political capital on more money to military industrial complex, tax cuts that dont meaningfully benefit most people, and making sure 100 billion dollar of tax dollars transferred to democratic donors gets knocked down to 50 billion instead. Oh and also make sure law enforcement gets to run amock unchecked even when used against them. I am not convinced they would have spent political capital on anything else.

The Roe v. Wade bandaid needed to come off eventually because it was a bad precedent, and having it be the big issue for a midterm is better than having it be a motivator during a presidential election. Given how much abortion and student debt forgiveness got dems to the polls (along with other shenanigans) and the Republicans held steady when they had no big motivator is a good sign.

Well, the fuck are they supposed to do about that when biden's in office? Right now the SC had been really good lately expanding gunrights and making abortion a states issue again.

There is this news coming out of California.

I find the phrase "election denialism" or "election denial" to be a neologism.

The words "election denialsim" and "election denial" also a bullshit term cooked up by neoliberals and neoconservatives as well lol.

I have never heard those words used before 2020 and even nations with rigged elections, I have never heard governments use those terms to describe the opposition calling bullshit on the results.

It feels like some feminine term to express high butthurt at how dare someone denies the elections decreed by one's moral betters and superiors lol rather than question over why are people doubting these results.

I can't believe there are still people in this thread who are not looking at this absolute joke of a mid term (which was only trumped by the absolute joke that was the 2020 election) and unironically saying "there is no election fraud". I know certain people are simply trolling for the reaction, but there are few who seem to actually genuinely believe that.

It hurts my brain that people are this stupid.

Will we see a "Battle of Athens 2.0"?

I think we'll end up as a cross of the Algerian war for independence and the Troubles. Really depends on how many competent and educated people they end up getting. We'll see an attempt to pull an Athens, but I personally think the force disparity between modern police (MRAPS and comms) would be too much. Plus, the modern state would absolutely not care if they just shot the entirety of movement.

Then the insurgent war begins You'll see shit like politician families getting murdered, OKC and Killdozer on a mass scale, lone wolf attacks (Whoops I just gave Senator Mcfuckface an X-ray 1000x times normal and killed him tier shit), substations getting taken out, planes getting rammed by suicide drones. People cutting fiberoptics, a "paramilitary" that is backed by the state vanishing people, head choppings, deinfestation and the likes. The state leveling towns and villages to send people off to concentration camps.

Be afraid, be very afraid because it may be the battle some die-hards have both dreaded and prayed for.

Has Maricopa county have these issues during the last 10 years of elections?
Did those last ten years of elections have a Donald Trump or Kari Lake? That should answer your question.

That’s what happens when people still believe in the concept of Hanlon’s Razor.

Probably. But things will still have to get A LOT WORSE. How worse, I don’t know.

Well its over for Republican control over the Senate with Nevada falling at the end.
And with word of the House not flipping , only resignation or death will see Biden leave the White House. Let’s hope there’s no folks willing to force at least the latter.

Arizona Update

Okay folks. TOPS 75k will be released in Maricopa and they are diluting the gain for Kari with DEM votes in MCTEC. No GOP votes will be released until Sunday.

Now, what's frustrating is that they claim it's first in, first out. But Hobbs is clearly harvesting votes because the "late arrivals" number keep changing.

Will keep you posted but no reason for live video tonight. Plus, I'll keep you posted on what I've been up to, which I think you'd rather me do anyway.

Balls. So if the Senate is still Democrat-controlled, it makes the runoff in Georgia pointless. Only the HoR remains out of Democrat control, so the best we can only get is gridlock against any future policy Biden may try to push.

You know what? Let the economy just utterly eat shit after this. Let it be as bad as 1929, so the Democrats are left holding the bag with the fallout. In the meantime though... can we get some fuckin' decisive confirmation on Kari Lake in Arizona already?!
