Well yeah, transwomen have the advantages men do because society still sees them as men (because they are). So you see transwomen get away with being repulsive and incompetent compared to their direct female competitors but still fast-tracked to promoted or awarded in their respective fields. It's an exact illustration of how sexism works in our society, just with extra 'gender magic' steps.

"Last week they began to tell me after orthopedics changed my cast that maybe I could go home since they could not find a rehab facility to take me or my insurance...Amy, the discharge lady, got an ambulance scheduled for the fire department to meet us at home and help us get in the house...I am sorry that no rehab worked out because I was not physically prepared to come home."

Yeah, this isn't going to end well for her. The hospital wanted her out, and no rehab would take her, so she's back in her own house—which is in no way accessible for a mammoth deathfat who had only just started standing again after 47 days of being bedridden. That her husband will have to call the fire department for help any time she might need to go to the hospital will mean a potentially fatal delay in the event of a real crisis, such as a heart attack, or sepsis that kept getting dismissed as some minor bug until she's in full-blown organ failure.

I give her a year; certainly less than two. Once these deathfats end up bedridden, their decline accelerates rapidly. I think DeathByJen only lived as long as she did because she spent so much of her final year and a half in a care facility, and had Gene around to make sure she was actually getting proper care.

Why would you choose a picture like this that displays your horrible skin and ratty hair? The point of the advertisement is to get people to go to your website, not be turned off by your ugly mug.

She's trying to monetize something any deathfat with an Internet connection already has abundant access to. You want enablers, who will tell you that being fat is totally okay, and that you are a sexy woman/enbycreature who deserves the adoration of hot men, and who will raise a chorus of support when you've been the victim of fatphobia? BoPo social media will give you that. You want to read a lot of inspirational shit about how you're already perfect and don't need to change? The Fatosphere's got you covered, handing out feel-good catchphrases like full-size candy bars on Halloween night.

Some individual deathfats (such as Corissa and Juliana) have turned to Patreon, but as far as I can tell, none of them are making anything close to a living at it. Their subscribers do so because they feel a parasocial bond with a given deathfat, see her as someone they wish was an IRL friend, and are willing to pay to be friends with her.

Anna should have taken a hint from the rapid demise of Vast magazine. Why pay to subscribe when there's more than enough articles and art by and for politicized obese women available for free, on social media?

She's not, but her videos leave me conflicted. I want to like her -- she's intelligent, personable, artistically gifted, and genuinely trying (in that she's going to a therapist, has a nutritionist, etc.). That said, I am left with the odd feeling that she's potentially manipulating her audience. She's honest in her videos, but there are times where she seems to be watching her audience, for want of a better description, when she says something calculated to elicit sympathy. I don't blame her for it -- she apparently had a shitty, abusive childhood (as if that's not obvious from her girth), but I'm not convinced she's entirely genuine, either. That said, losing a treasured companion animal is brutally hard, and doubly so one as long lived and sweet as her cat was. She has my sympathies for that.

I agree with you. Whether she likes/acknowledges it or not, to a person that severely fucked up manipulation comes very easily and is learned very early on in life. I'm sure she maybe doesn't mean it at all but subconsciously she is still using those coping mechanisms. I do wish her the best of luck and have a major soft spot for her.

When normal people go thrifting and it's already been picked over we just say "that's a fucking bummer" and look elsewhere, we don't seethe in contempt at the people who got the good stuff first because the possibility exists that they might alter the garment to fit before they wear it. What the fuck kind of mindset is that? I guarantee there are next to zero normal sized people who would get mad if some fatass decided to sew a tarp for themselves out of 3 or 4 human sized shirts, if anything we'd probably respect their creativity, skill, and initiative to craft what they want out of what's available rather than sitting around on social media fatly complaining that clothing companies will not meet the logistically, pragmatically, and economically impossible demands to cater to their fat ass at the expense of the planet's 7 billion normal sized people.

By all means, learn to sew your own shit. Spite at non-fat people for an imaginary slight is a pretty retarded motivation but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea, I don't get why I'm supposed to be seething about it.

They pretty much all are the most privileged people on the planet.
