Orwell's nightmare of a 1984 world only works out as it does in his view because for all of his hatred for totalitarianism and collectivism and authoritarianism, Orwell at heart was still a socialist and thought a planned and controlled economy would work "if it was just done this way." This economic paradigm will fail, and it will fail even worse than the USSR. Austrian School has serious issues understanding sociopolitics but in the realm of cold economics it is correct on the understanding that the situation is untenable and it will collapse. The question is how long will and can TPTB prolong the collapse. The more rapid and uncontrollable the collapse the better. The Great Reset is horrifying, and cattle will fall for it, but it won't last long because the Orwellian idea of a sustained dystopia simply won't work. In 1984 the Party drip fed people the bare minimum to survive and work the engines of the state. In a society with little to no price signals, with leaders who are approaching Cambodia levels of competency, and promoting anti-human social policies, it will more likely lead to unescapable and famine and total destruction that is too hard to obfuscate. North Korea, as horrid as it is, only maintains itself because its Confucian roots is inherently totalitarian and the society is still ostensibly conservative, with shit like troonery and chimpouts not being praised. TPTB are doing everything to make the Great Reset end up more like a Democratic Kampuchea than a North Korea. And with that being the case, people may and will die, and it will be horrible, but the existential terror of a sustained totalitarian tyranny for the remainder of human existence luckily should be off the cards. It simply isn't possible especially given the measures the Great Reset is asking for.

I gotta tell you guys, Democrats have pretty much mastered the art of politicking. It's actually pretty impressive to me.

Take student loan forgiveness, for example. Biden co-sponsored the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, making student loans non-bankruptable. Based on this and his earlier election comments, he had no intention of forgiving student loans at a sizable magnitude. It's unconstitutional and is a breach of his authority. He knows it, his colleagues know if after trying to get something like it passed over and over again, Pelosi said so the year prior. He also knows that not only will Republicans be against it, but a ton of Democrats would be against it too if it came down to it in Congress. Of course, that doesn't matter to many, too many if you ask me, voters; they just want the loans forgiven.

So, here the $10,000 loan forgiveness plan is laid out, midterms happen, then a Texas judge appointed by Trump strikes it and deems it unconstitutional, which, duh, it is. Then, Biden and the Democrats pin why it doesn't happen on Republicans.

And it's fucking genius. From abortion to policing, these actions have only helped Democrats get power.

And the best part is that all they have to do is dangle the carrot and then snatch it away. A good 50% relies on voters being retarded, and 25% relies on the incompetence of the Republican and Libertarian parties. Despite all the criticisms towards Dems, people lean to them because Reps "are mean" from all the talks I had with voters. Simple as that.

So, not only do Democrats not have to spend taxpayer money appealing to young dumb voters, they end up getting the vote of young dumb voters, and everything gets blamed on the Republicans.

And really, how can you fight that without culture? There really is no other means to fight that.
It isn't genius to run circles around retards. Take the other guy I just replied to for example.

Ian Miles Cheong, sometimes called Chungus. Formerly one of the big fish of Anti-GG; you can see him a lot in the Crash Override Network Logs. He's one of the first ones to prove the leaks' authenticity (though you can tell they're real very easily without him due to the fact that the timestamps show that they were discussing off-site events in real time, and not even the most turbo of turbo-autists can fake shit like that), and is notable for being one of the only members of the cool kids' club to seemingly have an outbreak of common sense. Around the time Quinn kicked out the dead wood (Jake Alley and company), IMC turned on them, basically spilling everything he knew and seemingly going full shitlord.

While IMC's professed reason for this seems sound on paper, in truth he did it to get the fuck out of their midst and he's still a piece of shit, even if he is willing to call out his former associates with gusto. For what it's worth, a *lot* of the usual suspects were fucking incensed when he turned, pitching marathon screeds over his betrayal, as if he didn't already have a history of doing that dating back all the way to his days on 4chan, when he was known for having racist outbursts. IIRC he swatted someone a while ago and got their pets shot (the ol' ATF special).

The term "grifter" gets thrown around a lot on the internet, but you'd be hard-pressed to not use it around Chungus; he will abandon any cause for whatever is most expedient for him at the moment, even if he was an absolute true believer before. I am fervently of the belief that he never showed proper contrition after the terrible shit he did at the behest of Zoe Quinn, and the only reason he betrayed her was because he knew she was widely hated and about to backstab him in turn.
MFW we get a KF lolcow OP in a KF thread that isn't a lolcow thread involving the catalyst which sparked a lolcow renaissance.

I only knew him to the extent he was some retard in the Ralpasphere, which makes it even funnier knowing that circle cozied up to him AFTER he already revealed his personality.

Isn't Salt Like City a hive of degeneracy on par with any city in a blue state?
Not sure about degeneracy, but last I heard, it’s more of a case of SLC being more secular than the rest of Utah, in the case that Mormons don’t have the grip on SLC that /pol/ thinks the Jewish faith has on the rest of the world , at least compared to tge rest of Utah.

Whether it’s 1984, or the Great Reset, any grand reboot of society will only work with a populace willing to go through with it. And there’s lots of leftists and apolitical folks willing to go through with it as long as they receive some stuff that makes things worth living, or the enemy is kept out of power, and The State will never have issues with either of those things, even without the idea of a great replacement being put into play.
Something I can’t figure out because I’m genuinely retarded and have a terminal brain disease is whether or not this business about FTX and the news coming out on it is good for our side or not.
Assuming the chances of real reform of the things that led to this are virtually zero, I’m going to wonder if it really matters in the long run.

Their determination to be the better man not realizing politics has nothing to do with "god fearing" or being "the better man." Truly the one thing that Republicans should have dropped. Responsibility and values are fine, just this mindset of playing fair and nice by the optics is nuts to me.
Unfortunately, this is true. There was a hell of a lot of corruption in the Republican party after Lincoln happened, but people still voted for them because they loved them and they loved their policies.

He tried to transition to posting in the Elder Scrolls thread more or less as soon as people were pointing out he wasn't actually as smart as he seemed about certain things.

In other words, it wasn't fun for him anymore because he wasn't getting as many asspats.

Did republicans win the house?
We don't know yet.

Because apparently it's not "Election Day" anymore, but "Election Week" or "Election Month."

Which according to The Experts ™️ is 100% normal and should be expected and not at all shady - despite never having needed to do it before, or the fact that it's actually one of the things the US State Department considers a sign of electoral fraud in Third World countries.

As I said before, it's amazing what folks have been willing to do and put up with in the name of keeping power out of the hands of a single man.

If I remember, after Biden's inauguration, he noticed that politics radically shifted on here to insanity. I believe he was burned out.

yeah iirc it was mostly "it's not fun for me anymore, I'm not getting paid to do this, smell you later."
I don't blame him. With things like 1/6 and the potential for actual violence being not just romanticized, but seen as a good and necessary thing to enact meaningful change, and folks willing to champion authoritarian regimes and leaders if they come across as based, and crazy conspiracies being treated as suppressed fact, who wouldn't want just peace out if they weren't a true believer?

You should see the gymnastics some people do when you mention this isn't normal.

"Oh think of the poor overworked election workers!"
"We gotta verify all the ballots before counting them!"
"Some people don't know how to fill in the ballots!"
