CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Authorities have identified the suspect they are searching for after a shooting on the University of Virginia's campus prompted a shelter in place order Sunday night.
UVA Police said Christopher Darnell Jones is wanted in the shooting. He was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds.
"Call 911 if seen, do not approach," UVA police wrote at 12:37 a.m.

Jones was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a burgundy jacket or hoodie, blue jeans and red shoes, according to police.
Officers said Jones should be considered armed and dangerous.
Police continued to urge the campus to continue to shelter in place, as of about 12:50 a.m., and reach out to family and friends to "advise of your status."
Family and friends with questions can call the university's Emergency Hotline at 877-685-4836.
UVA Police first posted on Twitter around 10:30 p.m. that they had received a report of shots fired at Culbreth Garage.
Ten minutes later, police said one suspect was at large and that the campus should shelter in place.
"ACTIVE ATTACKER firearm reported in area of Culbreth Road. RUN HIDE FIGHT," police posted on Twitter at 10:42 p.m.

University President Jm Ryan said the shooting happened on Culbreth Road.
"Please follow @UVA_EM for updated alerts, as we ask the @UVA community to please shelter in place," Ryan wrote.

There has been a shooting on Culbreth Road and the suspect is at large and considered armed and dangerous.

A posse should bring in every white 5' 8'' man they can find so that journos and PDs will stop omitting the race from their bulletins in a naked attempt to be woke even when reality just asserted itself with bullets.

It hasn't been a good couple of months for Charlottesville lately. Multiple shootings and a few murders, now this.

The city went from "voted one of the most peaceful quit sleepy towns In America" to seeing its crime rate explode after the August 11th car incident.

All while the University went full woke and the city council collapsed under its sheer incompetence.

Damn shame, it's usually a very nice/cozy place.

The journos would be there to smile smugly at the cops and the captured huwhites and then talk about the 6 million poc men that are rounded up by police every day for "matching a description" (note, stil not caring that people are being shot rn).

More like DEA D' Sean. I can't find DE as part of his name anywhere, and I don't recognize 'linebacker DE' as a handegg term. Nigger naming conventions once more confound the civilized world, while nigger moral conventions leave blood in the streets. Now at least we won't have to see it or try to pronounce it. It will only bother headstone carvers, and the name will be buried in the graveyard where both spelling and black people go to die.

That would make sense, I was wondering why he would attempt a mass shooting at 10:30pm on a Sunday.

According to the New York Times (A), he indeed was on the football team at one point, but never played any games.
The university’s athletics website listed Mr. Jones as a one-time member of its football team; the website listed him as a freshman member of the team who did not appear in any games in 2018.

Shooting occurred in a parking garage with 6 shots fired. Overall, 3 dead, 2 injured. RIP dudes.

I don't know jack about football, but thought it was "Defensive End"? D'Sean I never liked "made up/combo" Names.
I blame that typo on the "reporter" aka scum that wrote the story

oh and for sure, he and 2 others are indeed. DEAD

He probably played two positions - linebacker (often abbreviated as LB) and defensive end (DE).
