Oh my! Another Willis Historian! This makes me happy! Welcome home,
@Pargon
You'll notice Mary on any given strip because she is basically a normal person who happen to believe in God. Yes, she will be offensive and insulting and all that, but who wouldn't in this setting?
She's Dumbing of Age Frank Grimes.
They had a meme about her in the BWW: "Mary was right"
Ultracar is the embodiment of Willism autism. In Shortpacked it was originally a sort of transformer-thing that was sociopathic and slutty and all this things because, see, it's a machine and has no feelings, so they can be a jerkass and slut around a lot like nothing. Think Bender with no wit or charm.
It was a pointless addition to a cast of jerks acting like jerks when Willis comedy style eventually flipped forever to snappy one liners, strawman abuse, and the sort of dialogue that would make TVTropes say "YASSS KWAN"
Come Dumbing of Age and Ultracar is now a sociopathic trans girl that is the offspring of some sort of Jeff Bezos knock-off from which we can infer that it is using its family power and influence to get away with anti social behaviour. But we are told she is a totally uwu marginalised poor victim despite evidence of its utter cuntiness and privileged entitlement being lovingly portrayed.
It joins a diverse cast integrated by Asshole Canadian lesbian, Asshole white american lesbian, Asshole black american asexual, Asshole another black american delinquent, yet another asshole black american retard, Asshole white american straight (nope lol) guy, Asshole asian lesbian, Asshole white straight girl, Asshole white straight girl number 2, Asshole italian bisexual, Asshole italian bisexual number two, Asshole extras number #1, #2 and #3, their abused playthings, and their Asshole trainee Joyce.
It feels like a cult where Mary has been actively resisting being bullied into by remaining solid to her faith, and the only thing she can come up is with (and is so thoroughly offensive to Willis and his readers) as a snap back is "You're going to hell for this" when most situations actually are inviting up a straight up "You CUNTS"
