Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Oh goddamn it…

It seems that the Legendaries (both box Legendaries and the Ruinous Quartet) are Shiny-locked after all despite initial reports saying they’re not, thankfully Paradox Pokémon aren’t and you can still get your chrome-plated robots in Violet.

I'm aware that the recent games are exceptionally hand-holdy, especially in SwSh where you can't take three steps without being escorted somewhere or told to do something to advance the plot. How does SV compare?

I hope they fixed pop-in issues that used to plague the overworld. I know that in some places in SwSh, only about 4 NPCs were shown at a time in the cities. It may be optimization issues, but when you compare it with other contemporary open world Switch games that don't have as much of a dramatic pop-in issue, the excuse falls flat, especially when patches can be applied via updates.

I have fallen in love with Slither Wing and will spend the next 2-3 years building teams around it. any suggestions

Slither Wing and the other ancient Pokemon have abilities that boost their primary stat under Sunny Day. For best results, pair with a Dought Pokemon. The robot Pokemon are the same way with Electric Terrain so they're best paired with Pincurchin (Tapu Koko isn't in Scarlet and Violet at this time.)

Was planning on getting Violet, but I'm seriously considering getting Scarlet instead just so I can get Slither Wing. Also because regular Hydreigon is exclusive to Scarlet, along with Dragalge.

I really like the music.Seldom Pokemon games disappoint in the music section.
I'd tend to agree, even the shitty newer games have many absolute bangers, but SV has a petty bad soundtrack overall... probably the worst in the series. Watching the stream of it the first day it leaked was funny as the music came up with many duds until the culmination of the treasure failure in the Elite 4 theme. It's so bad everyone was wondering if it's something unfinished that will get patched day 1 because it is an atrociously grating 4 second loop. Like half the chat was muting the stream it was so bad, if you can find it online it's worth it for a laugh.

I was actually considering Rain for Slither Wing. Either way, Snow, Rain, and Sand will probably be strong choices this time around due to Paradox.

Dashbun supremacy
I've decided I'm building my team all around bread dog.

Team list:
Dachsbun
Avalugg
Clodsire
Espeon
Pawmot
Ditto

I won't bother going into specifics with IV and EV spreads but the overall strategy will involve Dachsbun acting as a scout and pivoting its defense boost via baton pass to either Avalugg, Clodsire or Espeon depending on the opposing Pokemon. Avalugg will obviously be my physical wall, Clodsire a special defensive toxic staller and Espeon for anti setup magic bouncing shenanigans. Pawmot acts as an additional strong physical attacker and medic and Ditto is the wildcard.

So after Sobble ended up becoming a tranny monstrosity, I'm nervous about my starter pick.
Without too much detail, does Sprigaytito become an abomination?
Let me put it to you this way- how do you feel about Incineroar? If you like Incineroar, you'll most likely like Sprig's evo.

And hey, you could always evolve Sprigatito once and give it an eviolite.
