Future of the House

This might be a crazy thing to say, but I honestly don't think Chris would attempt to trespass if he knew people other than Barb/his family members were there. As much of a retard as he is I do believe he has some degree of self-preservation, and after spending over a year in jail (and most likely additional time in some other form of care, yet to be revealed), I can't imagine he'd be eager to be locked away from toys and freedom again. 'Sonichu Temple' nonsense aside I think he would comprehend that he will end up back in jail if he shows up and freaks out at some people who legally own his home. The jail visit marks the first time that he has seen real consequences for doing something wrong, so it must have penetrated his thick skull to some degree that he is not immune to punishment.

But unless he goes to a longterm care facility for a fair number of years, there's a good chance Barb will still be alive and in the house when he's out on his own again. What would happen if he shows up there again while she's there would be interesting. I wonder if he would be legally allowed near her, I would have to guess he isn't but I wouldn't be surprised to hear if he was, either.

I don't think any of us are going to be informed when Barb dies. She could be dead now and there would be no one to tell us. If the family doesn't post an obit in the paper and doesn't want to do a memorial service (who would come?!), there is no reason they would tell anyone other than immediate family. Right now, if they told Chris, he wouldn't be able to tell anyone else since he's in nuthatch lockdown. I've known people who have been dead for months or even years before anyone outside the immediate family knew.

I'm still surprised by the lack of ween activity, you'd think some idiot would have livestreamed breaking into 14BLC to check if Barb is there or harassing Tom and Harriet's house trying to find Barb by now.

I think it depends on how immediate the consequences for trespass would be. He was scared off when Meagan basically threatened to shoot him if he came around, but it's not like he has ever obeyed any of his other bans. In fact his other two big legal incidents (Snyder and Pepper Spray) were started because he tried to trespass. In this case he has a much bigger incentive to violate the order, so it's very likely he'll return to the Sonichu Temple as soon as possible.

Someone from Reddit claimed to talk with Barb not long ago (I believe the post is linked in this thread), but there hasn't been any recent recordings of Barb to my knowledge

I have a feeling the house will eventually get demolished, nobody is ever gonna wanna live in a house where some mentally ill manchild fucked his own mother (not to mention the infestation of rats and mold along with the strong odor of dog and cat piss)!

You’d be surprised. Even murder houses can sell.

Believe it or not, those things can be cleaned up. Houses in a worse state than casa de Chandler have been fixed. Folks have given examples throughout the thread.

The only thing I could compare the experience to is living in the house of a C-list actress from the Golden Age of Hollywood with a handful of boomer fans. One to a couple of people show up occasionally, take some pictures, do a live stream, the end.
I'd say it's closer to living in a house that was used in a movie but isn't really iconic or central to the plot of the movie.

IIRC the family who owned the house Home Alone was filmed in had issues with randos showing up constantly and causing problems because the imagery of this big shiny mansion was so central to the movie itself. Not to mention the fact that the house was just north of Chicago and easily accessible by thousands of people.

Compare that to, say, the house from E.T., which is just a regular-ass house in every way and wasn't really emphasized in the film itself. Despite being a pretty popular movie, your average person probably wouldn't even recognize the house as being from E.T. even if they were standing on the sidewalk directly in front of it. The only people visiting it in person are either diehard fans or movie trivia nerds. I think Chris's house is closer to that: Just a regular home given significance by a small but enthusiastic community of autists. But the end result is basically what you said: Every once in a blue moon, you'll get some Christorian doing a drive by and snapping a few photos of the house. Maybe some particularly weeny types might knock on the door or sneak into the yard. Annoying, yes, but ultimately harmless, and pretty much guaranteed to stop after a couple years.

Not to mention the Chandler's subdivision is a good 30 minutes away from the nearest population centre and over an hour from the nearest major city. As infamous as Chris is, he really doesn't get that many visitors, all things considered. If he lived in even a moderately sized city he would be harassed at home almost on a daily basis I imagine, but simply living out in bumfuck nowhere is an adequate ween deterrent.

Unrelated footnote: When I was looking at Google maps I found out that the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) is located in Ruckersville just a few miles from 14BC. They're the guys who do all those slow motion car crash test videos you see online. Kind of neat.

The house used for Breaking Bad was constantly harassed by retards.

Also, the house where the Manson killings happened was rented by Trent Reznor while he was recording The Downward Spiral. After a random encounter with a relative of one of the victims, he completely freaked out, realized how inappropriate that was, and moved out. The house was subsequently demolished and even the street number was changed.

So maybe some other retard would actually by 14 just to larp as Chris or something. It would be the last funny thing involving Chris, who is now just depressing.

Maybe that's just me but the whole Barb thing tempered my CWC enthusiasm. Now discussing Chris feels like discussing a dead era of the past. Something that used to be naive, maybe not innocent but at least genuine, that got corrupted into something twisted. Maybe the weens feel the same and don't want to bother anymore because of it.

Maybe Cole would write a smart ass obituary?

People still fuck with other cows like Chance Wilkins all the time who's an actual pedo so I'm not sure if weens have standards. We've seen people dig through Chris's trash just for clout.

The fun stopped after Bob's death.

Lets be real, nobody gives a fuck about that house beyond seeing chris in his natural habitat. What's more likely to happen is he either gets his halfway home doxxed or people start coming to see and harass him IRL when he inevitably becomes a street bum.

It really did. After that is the weens started to successfully break Chris' mind beyond all means of repair.

like the Brady Bunch house, they eventually put up a fence around it, until HGTV bought the house and remodeled it to have floor plan like the show

The people who own the Buffy house covered the front area in plants. Fans complain that it’s “overgrown,” but really it’s just normal low water shrubbery and trees to dissuade annoying photographers.

This sort of thing could be done to 14blc as well.
