Who knows. War is happening, the sooner one side wins, the better. I said numerous times I don't want escalation and that Ukraine can determine when/if to stop.
But yes, ideally, for me, is that Russia is pushed back so we do not legitimize armed conquest of land inside Europe in 2022.
It's ultimately up to the Ukrainian people to decide if they want to give up lands to stop the war. I am in no position to demand they continue to die and fight if they say no.
So your whole framing is 100% irrelevant.
And I still have not seen a single list of things you want from any of you.
Why? Don't sell me "I don't really care/it doesn't matter" narratives.

You're here endlessly and strictly criticizing Ukraine and its allies, without any such criticisms towards Russia. So you have a side, and it's obvious.

Espionage and Military are two separate fields. We are dealing with side effects of cold war to this day, and that includes after-effects of active measures KGB applied to undermine the west. FSB does not have to do much to keep the fire going. Military is the opposite. It needs constant upkeep. It's tough to do when corrupt higher ups siphon money. At the same time, it is being eaten from inside by that horrid military culture. Dedovshchina kills morale and turns soldiers into degenerates. Vranyo pretty much guarantees poor decisions and inadequacies.
Are you serious? Of course it does. Culture and politics are in part affected by what happened in the past. Especially if what happened was an effort to undermine your culture and it was carried on since 1920s to 1980s. Are you going to wave away marks that communism and WW2 left on Russia because they happened happened long time ago? What about the pozzed state of weimar republic? How about a silly cult of personality around some desert warlord. It all matters and has an effect. Sometimes bigger sometimes smaller.
That rhetoric about responsibility can be easily flipped back on Russians. They refuse to take accountability for botched transition to capitalism and blame America instead. Same for Russia losing its allies. It's all because of Americans, not because Russia is a bad ally who offers next to nothing in exchange for partnership, unless your country is too strong to resist Russian invasion.
As to the passage of time argument, Bezmenov and other commie sources claimed that the process of demoralization is irreversible once started and will take several generation to recover. Based on what's going on, they were right and that's why it still matters. If you are upset about the current state of things, you should care more about what lead to it. KGB's methods of ideological subversion are proven to work, and the next American adversary will definitely try to use them.
It's a hodge podge of people from many different communities. You get all kinds of views here, and people aren't segregated into their own echo-chambers for the most part. There aren't that many places like this on the internet any more.

My dream for a post-Putin Russia is Medvedev as President with Lavrov as Prime Minister. I just get the feeling these two really smart guys have ideas that would put Russia on the right track, with Lavrov's wisdom helping the diplomatic front.

Russia wants to denazify Ukraine and remove its leadership.
It's a legitimate maneuver to attempt to create social unrest to provoke a coup or revolution.
I am very hopeful that will be the case.
Why should mobik vatniks die in Ukraine? It's more trad and patriotic to die on the streets of Moscow vs the tanks of the regime.

Funny how an actual tactical withdrawal warrants the word "expelled" but on the flip side a complete rout from Afghanistan, leaving behind millions of dollars of equipment, is not a failure.
