We here at the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch started our project in 2018 in order to provide Haven for queer folk in the face of rising fascism in the United States.

From inception we have been a community driven project, here to facilitate the needs of the queer community, as best we can, because of the rising violence and legislative erasure going on in the US right now.

We are now ready to expand onto two additional properties, enhancing our ability to not only help with emergency housing and by providing work but adding the ability to offer support groups and queer events that are safe and accessible to LGBTQIA folks in and around Boulder County CO

These new properties also enable us to begin farming a full 5 acres giving us another source of income but also allowing us to help folks who are in need. It also opens up the possibility of having horses which is a massive benefit in helping a very traumatized community heal.
We would not be expanding the alpaca herd during this time so being able to relegate the male herd to one property will also help with pasture restoration.
We are asking for help to cover six months of the rent at the Boulder Co location plus funds to begin the farming operation there. This will also be used to build the encloser for the alpaca, sheep, goats, ducks and chickens that will be moved to the Boulder County location.
We are able to cover all other aspects of the expansion because of some very generous folks helping us get it done.
Help us continue our project and grow even more to help the queer community.

Two dozen lockers with fire suits and SCBAs, mobile water tank pump trailer, emergency trailer with 2nd sets of all the fire gear. They had ONE training dummy. I vaguely remember Kevin tweeting about Phil going to some student dentistry at some point for a necessary procedure (getting a rotten tooth pulled probably). Dental care is usually more annoying to get through the government, but somehow Kevin manages to have full access to Kaiser including dental for free so I guess Colorado has pretty robust benefits for lazy fucks.

Given that, I'm baffled on why Phil can't sign up for the same thing, it's not like he's gainfully employed. I want to assume he has some sort of coverage since we never see grifting for emergency room bills every time Penny gets injured (which is often), but perhaps that's because he just buys a brace or some medical tape instead of getting real treatment.

Sorry for the rambling lazy post. It's possible Phil has dental coverage somehow but avoid going unless it's extremely dire. It's not that easy to have such a rotten, disgusting mouth these days. That takes serious neglect and avoidance of regular dental visits combined with poor genetics.

On top of all that, who the fuck is going to drive when he needs a procedure done? He certainly can't rely on Kevin for a ride home.

A bit late, but dental students working for traveling RAM (remote area medical) clinics are a common way for uninsured or poor regions in the U.S. to get regular dental service. Dental and vision are usually add-ons to medical insurance plans, so even if you can afford basic emergency coverage, there's still a need to provide those services for free to poor communities, and there are a lot of programs that do. They are not necessarily government-run but can be a cooperation between hospitals, universities, and nonprofits to gain training for students while fulfilling their obligations to the community. Some hospitals are actually required to donate a certain amount of services like this as part of their operational agreements.

They are really a godsend for people who need them, but culturally I think a lot of people who use them start to see them almost as a luxury that they are savvy enough to take advantage of; by that, I mean they can rationalize waiting on major dental work as a cost-saving measure instead of something they're forced to wait on because they don't have insurance. It protects their dignity and independence to think of it that way. If Phil has that mindset, dental work is something you get a chance at once a year if it's a real emergency, but you still have to wait for THE DAY OF THE RAM CLINIC to even bother with getting a tooth pulled. Otherwise you don't bother because you're saving money and deciding that you can live with a few bad teeth.
