Warhammer 40k

I can vouch for Vermintide 2. Darktide coming out later this month also looks good. I played the beta and enjoyed it

Darktide is looking to be very good. Releases on the 17th. There are a few annoyances (Talents are rather underwhelming relative to those of VT2, though the same thing happened with VT2s release and they were later massively overhauled. Only one class per archtype despite talking about each class having multiple on launch. It seems clear they expect to add more later down the line though).
Hands-on with the full game (on the 30th. The 17th is basically another beta) will be the only real way to tell though.

I can't say why they did before, but I almost guarantee that recent ones are disabled because troons keep asking why guys that became girls can't be Astartes.
I've never seen a non-comment disabled GW video. While the wokeshit (and people telling the tourists to fuck off) is probably on the list, they've always blocked for people complaining about rules changes, prices, etc.

GW definitely realised, thanks to Shootas, Blood and Teef, that they could milk the Ork Rocker concept.
Wasn't the Goff Rokkas thing one of those fun Ork concepts they dropped years and years ago as the game went less silly and more grimdark?

I think they forgot to turn off comments once but quickly turned them off again.

GW is still very old school in their PR approach. They only want curated and controlled consoomer interactions so they can shape a corporate image for GW, so they don't have comment on their youtube, their twitch is heavily moderated, and their twitter is (other than the odd political sperging) just advertising.
So they can't possibly have those horrible fascists giving their opinions freely and associating Warhammer with nazis.

If so I feel that's a bad idea. I can understand wanting to keep things serious but Orks seem like a good way to bring some silliness to Warhammer

I love the combination of "grimdark pestilent massacre machines" and "drunken football hooligans on the galaxy's longest pub crawl" that the faction brings to the setting.

I mean, the entire plot of Shootas, Blood, and Teef is that your warboss stole your awesome hair squig out of jealousy, so its time to conquer half a planet to steal a ship so you can fly into orbit and crump him to get it back. Oh, and claim ownership of his WAAAGH for yourself, but that's less important.

GW is the ultimate boomer company. Their corporate reactions to things like fan made content scream of their ignorance of how corporations promote products at this point in time.

Damn shame since it killed TTS Device, and Astartes looks to be sliding down the drain since getting forced into Warhammer+.

The content policy was an excuse in TTS' case. In the year before it, Alfa had made about two thirds of one episode. I'm sure that he was thrilled for an excuse to shed the millstone and move onto other IPs.

It was also the fact that one of the guys from TTS accidently spilled the beans, how apparently they were actually running out of material, so GW coming in with that content policy (that apparently barely affected them) was a good enough excuse to drop the whole thing. Plus, they can ride the pity party train and keep all that patreon cash.

True on both accounts. TTS was a fun series while it lasted, and Astartes got changed when it fell into GW's lap.

It's funny that most 40K fans point me to Astartes when it comes to good Space Marine content, yet even that didn't last long.

So basically, GW's actions were the perfect excuse for them to drop something that's already lost steam.

I'd love to see them move on to other sci-fi, like Star Wars, Transformers, Halo, Starcraft, Mass Effect, Metroid, or Gundam. There's lots of potential for juicy content. Especially in the SWTOR era, where yes, you once again have an Emperor surrounded by complete dipshits who ruin everything he worked on 24/7. One person described the SWTOR-era Sith Empire and the Dark Council that runs it as "imagine the greatest Empire in the galaxy, being ruled by a bunch of kindergarteners." That's prime material for a TTS-style comedy spinoff, right there.

Why do they keep disabling comments on their videos?
I think its just a youtube thing, I've noticed that newer songs on youtube under the official artist and most channels from company's that aren't media ones have comments disabled but still have some on older ones so I assume youtube automatically disables them and their just too lazy to turn them back on.

Pretty much and their fans being rockhead stupid instantly bought into it and started screaming about mean ol'GW. Funny thing, when people brought up how that policy doesn't affect TTS, they were told to stfu and called a corporate bootlicker.

So... is the Emperor now portrayed only in the way Master of Mankind and that Gathering Storm book that had Gulliman talk with the Emperor or was that a phase? Honestly i don't know since I haven't looked too much at stuff since around that time besides in the video games part

Random 40k review that I saw from TVT.

TOR is written by bioware, that's like dunking on a 12yo inbred raised by radfem lesbians "parents".
