This may be a unpopular opnion but I don't think twitter will die as most people say just for two reasons: Ads and tracking.

People like Muta, Linus and Critical aren't wrong by saying that twitter is a cesspool and a cancer but they do not considers that the social-bubble algorithms and that most of their fanbase by being there makes that the average joe to not care about it an example of it, is that Linus and Critical are two that criticizes Twitter, Elon and big corps but you don't see him creating/joining a fediverse server, hosting their videos on Odyssee too or any other platform while saying to people that leaving twitter isn't an alternative or that is profitable.

There's a analogy thing that I forgot the name, that basically says that that the someone don't go to the alternative platform because it's too small or there no one there, while criticizing the one he is. Big people like Linus, Critical, MKBHD and other "techie" people are the ones who could fuck twitter and youtube by going to mastodon too and publishing videos on odysee an hour earlier but they are too hipocrites to do that.

People do not realize but creating the kind of tracking that Twitter, Facebook, Google and more have is hard and very complicated to create and most advertises and big corps knows that. One of the reasons you see that those companies aren't pushing for alternatives, is that most alternatives or aren't in US or don't have the tracking that Twitter has, like fediverse for example.

I do believe that in the next weeks/months this "hate" will go down and the same ones who criticized Elon will began to simp for twitter saying that the new functionalities that Elon "did" are great and twitter is good again and conglomerates like NYT that is owned by Bezos, Kotaku and others will be the first ones creating those articles.

I also find funny that a lot of people who worked on twitter saying that twitter is bad because it tracks everything you did, that advertisers have more power than you imagine and being privacy-friendly guys are the ones who created those tracking algorithms and said nothing back them.

I seriously don't mind these "what they do IRL" type videos, as I can laugh or maybe find interest in something someone is passionate about. But I'd also prefer them to be a full 15-20 minutes of a single person. While I really don't care much about coffee, I can respect the guy showcasing that it's something he's passionate about. The first video of its kind had Anthony go on about the Dreamcast and Brandon's love over a camera that's damn near useless anymore (dont make film for it). I dare say I might enjoy them, but the person needs time to wax philosophical or whatever about the who/what/where/why/when/how it means to them.
