Hmm, I don't know. The memory of Volhynia Massacre is still very much remembered here. To the point that when in 2016 Polish made Volhynia film premiered in Poland the film has been banned in Ukraine following the recommendation of the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland. Tbf its just eastern European/Slavic and each country has its own version. Polish borscht (barszcz) is different to the Ukrainian one or Lithuanian one. It's been around for many centuries and it was poor peasant's food back in a day.
